A good skijoring and kick sledding foundation is built well before the snow flies. Dryland training is a time-honoured mushing technique to get your dogs ready to pull on snow, and work around the other teams.

Today is all about Hoopers. Little guy Chip was in Hoopers class this morning and makes his mommy all proud as he’s doing so well! But now he’s very tired.
Q completed two of his video trial runs after classes and did well too. Filming at 50kph wind gusts is quite challenging, thanks Arlie Laxdal for doing this with me and for holding on that tripod 😆

These five ladies wrote a little piece of history in Manitoba today. We were hosting and participating in the very first sanctioned Hoopers Trial in our Province 👏.
We are all still learning about this great dog sport but enjoying it a lot and we definitely had a blast today. Congratulations to Laurie, Arlie, Diane and Kim on your great runs, qualifying or not, I know all of our dogs enjoyed it a lot and had fun - and that’s the most important part about dog sports. 🐶
