Our friend Rupert is still looking for someone special to care for him.

Please meet Rupert, a handsome, neutered, 60lb, 12 year old , hypoallergenic bearded collie with a sweet soul. Due to significant life changes in Rupert's family, he finds himself in need of a new home.
Rupert is looking for a quiet, loving retirement home where he will have regular company and be cherished for his remaining time. Rupert thrives on a consistent routine with a short morning and
afternoon walk. Otherwise he is happy to snooze away the day.
This loving boy has been blind ( due to retinal detachment ) for over a year and has some arthritis in his back legs and signs of dementia typical of his mature years.
A home with few stairs and a secure, fenced, flat yard would suit Rupert best. He is understandably not the biggest fan of puppies or dogs that startle him by being in his face. He responds well to finger clicks to get his attention and of course his sense of
smell is heightened especially when food is around. Rupert has eaten a raw diet for his entire life.
Rupert has routinely been taking anti-inflammatory drugs, CBD oil and Gabapentin at times of stress, which has provided him with good life quality.
Rupert's family are truly heartbroken about having to make this huge change in his life, they are hoping someone with a big heart will open up their home and love him as he has been all his life.
One of Rupert's family members lives in Gibsons and would be open to a shared care schedule if that was of interest.
