KhylarCreek Labrador Retrievers KhylarCreek Labradors is a small hobby kennel breeding black, yellow and chocolate puppies. CKC reg'd KhylarCreek Labrador Retrievers is a small hobby kennel.

We currently have adults and a couple of puppies coming along. We breed them in yellow, black and chocolate. We have been CKC registered since 2003. We believe in a sweet temperament, easy to live with, yet able to go to the obedience class, agility class or out in the field retrieving ducks without any concerns. Keeping the breed standard in mind we breed only when we want a puppy to keep. In 202

1 we added a sweet German Shepherd after many years. We started with this breed over 20 years ago and are excited to have them back in our home. We look forward to providing information about what our dogs and puppy families are up to.

I think this might bring us somewhat up to date
Today we joined the Maritime Golden Retriever Club at their Working Certificate test in Moncton.
It was cold, rainy and windy - great Labrador weather 😂😂 for hunting up a few ducks
Norah and Maisie both picked up their Working Certificates today. No pics of them running but I do have one with their ribbons in the 5 minutes there was no rain 🫠

Update #2
Crumpet has been playing some Rat sports over the summer and she picked up a few ribbons towards titles and a Judge's Choice award at the Fredericton Rat Sports trials in August.
We went to one day of the New Brunswick Kennel Club with Gertie, Maisie and Crumpet. We wanted to support the Atlantic Labrador Retriever Club's breed booster during show #1.
Crumpet picked up a Select female and back to back Puppy in Groups
Maisie picked up 2 more points towards her Championship
Gertie picked up Best of Opposite in the breed for a couple of Grand points
This all worked thanks to some friends lending a hand showing and moving dogs around for me 💖

The Cross Creek shows were very busy 3 different dogs playing in 3 different venues - we were only entered on 3 of the days so 🤷‍♀️
Norah played in dock diving and came home with her Dock Junior title
Crumpet picked up Puppy in Breed for 3 shows and a couple Select female for points towards her Grand Champion. She also played in Earthdog and came home with her first pass towards her Novice title
Maisie's first weekend out to anything and she picked up 4 points and her Dock Novice title. Won't be long and we will have her at the Jr level too.

We are excited to have a new Champion in the house!

Miss Crumpet picked up her last points under hound specialist Jean-Christophe Boulinguez and dog show icon Thora Brown and then obtained her first points towards her Grand Champion. Not bad for a 9 month old pup.

We want to thank K9 Connection in Grand Bay for hosting their first SDDA scent trials this past weekend. Huge thanks to Lisa and the raft of volunteers and judge Alli.
Crumpet picked up 2 of the 3 components needed for her title
Gertie picked up her 4th Advanced title and components towards her next Excellent title
Norah went 6 for 6 in her components this weekend and completed her Sporting Detection Championship 🏆🏆🎉🥳🎉

I'm so happy with how all the girls did 🙂 even if I repeatedly forgot how to count 🤣🤣

What a great day - lovely weather and even better people
The girls and I headed to the KOC CKC scent trial today. We were entered in components trying to finish off titles where there are so few CKC scent trials in our area.
We also met up with Jessie and her family. Her mom has been working hard learning about scent this winter and she jumped in and entered her first trial!!! ☺️☺️

Jessie can now add Scent Detection Instinct (SDIN) to her name. She and her mom Sophie did such a great job!!

Gertie picked up her Open Containers
Norah can add Scent Detection Novice (SDN) to her name and picked up her Open Exterior
Crumpet got to play and picked up her Scent Detection Instinct (SDIN) I am hoping there is a picture somewhere of this 😅

All 4 of these girls are Fenwyck dogs!
