This is a pretty boring picture, but it means a lot to me.

Our farm is on a little rural road and I can now have families park safely off the road.

Safety matters to me 🙂

Hanging on to warmer days and evening daylight as long as we can!

Our second day at the Carleton Classic Horse Show was very successful! Beau, who is not a confident or easy jumper to ride, was Champion in the Trot Poles division (because trotting over poles is easy, he says) and was Reserve Champion in the Intro Hunter Division. A great first horse show for Mallie - congrats!

Casey, the goofiest baby horse, was as good as gold in his classes (Trot Ponles and Intro Hunter). He only started jumping this summer, and still has so much to learn, but he definitely made an impression because this little guy LOVES to jump 🙂 we put him in the most basic divisions to give him the best start to showing, and it was evident to anyone watching that he wants to do big boy things:) He placed middle of the pack, against some much more experienced horses, and we can’t wait to see how he develops.

I am so proud of Abbie, who has done all the work with him and loves his silly nature.

A great weekend for everyone!

Wonderful first day at the Carleton Classic Horse Show:)

Mallie and Beau are first time horse show competitors so it’s a big learning curve about expectations for each class, knowing what the judge is looking for. Beau, of course, can’t figure out why he’s not napping in the field and had to CANTER.

Abbie and Casey were hoping for a well-behaved baby horse to be in a new barn and in the ring with other horses and not get freaked out by all of it. He was, truthfully, completely unfazed by all of it! He even placed in a class of 10 very nice horses. Pretty impressive for his first show 🙂

Tomorrow we jump little baby jumps 🙂

He’s brave and careful- he will be a solid jumper with more experience!
