Today, September 30, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the lasting impacts of the residential school system on First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities.

Truth and Reconciliation calls on all of us to listen, learn, reflect, and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation. It is a day to remember, but also an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the history and experiences of Indigenous Peoples in Canada.

We wear orange to honour the children and Survivors, and to affirm that Every Child Matters. 🧡

September 28th is World Rabies Day!
Rabies is a viral infection that affects the nervous system. It has been reported that racoons and skunks are the most likely carriers in New Brunswick. Here are some tips to keep you and your pets safe.
*Do not allow pets to roam freely (spaying/neutering can reduce roaming behaviour).
*Never approach or handle unknown animals, even if they appear friendly or injured.
*Report wild animals showing strange behaviour to local animal control or authorities who can help sick animals.
*Wildlife-proof your home and yard by securing garbage containers and sealing entry points to exclude bats.

The Hometown family is growing again! We are excited to meet these little boys that Erin and Grace will be welcoming soon.

Yesterday we said goodbye to Erin for the next year, but we still have a couple more weeks with Grace!

We are so excited for you two, and can’t wait for more Hometown babies to join the world!

Today we celebrate being open 11 incredible years!

Over the past 11 years, we've had the privilege of helping your furry family members live happier, healthier lives. We're so grateful for the trust you've placed in us and for allowing us to be part of your pets' journeys.
