Two local businesses are teaming up, and apparently we decided you should play with clay.

Even better, 10% of your registration goes to the Oromocto SPCA.

+ are teaming up to offer a one-of-a-kind pottery experience where you’ll create your very own chip & dip platter!

Izzy will guide you through the process from start to finish, including:
🎨 Rolling and shaping your clay
🥣 Attaching your dipping bowl, which Izzy will throw in advance for you on the wheel, or take on an extra challenge by pinching your own bowl!
🌈 Choosing from Izzy’s wide variety of fun glazes
Izzy will glaze and fire your finished pieces, and then they’ll be ready for you to enjoy at home!

A little heads-up about pottery: it can be unpredictable! If anything unexpected happens during the drying, glazing, or kiln-firing process, Izzy will create a brand-new platter from scratch.

Come make something fun, support two local businesses, and most importantly, help support the Oromocto SPCA.

Thelma is STILL at the Oromocto SPCA. Why?

I literally have no idea why. She is very loving and has a lot of skills. She’s a big dog, so maybe that’s the reason? She walks really well on leash, she loves all the humans at the shelter and the ones that walk her and work with her. She gets along with the dogs at the shelter and there have been a lot that have come in and come out.

She is the last 2026 long stay resident at the shelter and it would be amazing and awesome if she could find a home, especially before Christmas.

Please share and keep her in your thoughts that she finds a home.

Most of what you see online is recall games, and there are too many to count. They typically all 'work'. Did you know there are other components most people don't consider?

Before the fun games, ask three things:

Can your dog respond to their name around distractions?

Does your dog check in with you on their own?

Will your dog stay with you once they get to you?

If any of those is a no, you have something to build.

We have 3 spots left in our four-week class starting on Sunday, Oct 25th at 12:30pm. Cost is $165 (including tax)

Me: talking to myself, trying to figure out what to teach next.

Thelma: ✋ HAND TARGET!

Me: 😂😂😂

I wasn’t even asking her to do anything! I was just thinking out loud, and she saw my hand and said, “Oh, I know this one!”

I’m sorry, but how smart is this girl?!

I’ve been teaching her hand targets, and she’s clearly been paying attention. I love when dogs start making those connections and offering behaviours because they understand the game.

Thelma is still at the Oromocto SPCA, and I hope more people get to see just how clever, capable, and fun she is.

Also, apparently, I need to be more careful about what I do with my hands. 😂
