This is Rocky, an 8-year-old male cat who means the absolute world to me. Unfortunately, Rocky has been dealing with a condition called cystitis, and despite doing everything I possibly can to help him, the ongoing medical costs have become more than I can financially manage.

This is an incredibly difficult decision for me because I love Rocky so much. I’m not giving him up because I don’t want him — I’m doing this because I want to make sure he gets the care, love, and stability he deserves. ❤️

Rocky is fully up to date on his vaccinations and is neutered. He is a big love bug who especially seems to prefer women. When he wants attention, he absolutely loves to cuddle, be close to you, and get kisses right on his forehead. 🥹❤️

He does have a little bit of a feisty personality at times, so he would do best with someone who understands cats and is willing to be patient with him and respect his boundaries. Once he feels comfortable, he can be incredibly sweet and affectionate.

I’m looking for a loving, responsible home that can continue providing Rocky with the medical care he needs. I would love to find someone who will treat him like the family member he is and give him the safe, happy life he deserves.

This is breaking my heart, but I truly believe finding the right home for Rocky is the most loving thing I can do for him. 💔🐾

Our little Miss Mia has gotten a diagnosis of FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) which we are going to try to treat! She is a lovely kitten but must be uncomfortable as she has a lot of liquid in her belly area. She tends to hiss when I move to give her the antibiotic that she started with but if in my lap, she nudges me to continue patting her! The treatment will be about 42 days with hopes of improvement. This is one of the hard parts of rescue as she is so little and hasn’t even had the chance to begin to live her life!! Positive thoughts and prayers are welcome and please follow us in the upcoming fundraisers that we have to help cover vet care for all our rescues;
Friday September 4 th is Fabulous Friday which is our online yard sale of new or gently used items. This weekend we will also be starting a basket fundraiser.

Our sweet little Mia is not feeling well, has a heart murmur and an enlarged liver and is still just a kitten. She is also retaining some fluid in her belly and this could mean something else that is serious. The vet is trying some antibiotics and we will be seen again in a week. She came from the colony and we are hoping for some improvements. Can you please send some positive thoughts and prayers our way in the hopes that she will feel better soon..

If you have any redeemable bottles hanging around that you would like to drop off or have us pick up, it really helps our rescue. We currently
have a couple of areas that have group bottle drives; Sunset drive area is once a month and Skyline Acres, Southwood Park area about 3 times a year. It has been a very busy year this year and we have had a number of emergencies!! Please reach out and we can figure out drop off or pick up. All addresses should be given privately please!! Below are a couple kittens that will be helped!

Unfortunately this is one of the sweet babies from the colony that did not make it. Smudge had what they call wet fip the vets think and had to be humanely euthanized as she was very sick. We will miss you young lady and we were glad to have loved you while you were in our rescue!!
