Before the Bend Cat Kennel

A few small things before drop-off can make a real difference to how quickly your cat settles in.

Their own food and litter. Something that smells like home. A quiet car ride. A calm, confident goodbye.

We wrote up everything we've noticed works: https://www.beforethebendboarding.com/post/how-to-help-your-cat-arrive-calm-and-settled

At Before The Bend, we believe a healthy cat is a welcome cat. Our policy is designed to support a comfortable and relaxed environment for everyone, built on a simple shared commitment to cat health — so vaccinations are left up to the owner's discretion — rather than requiring specific documents. We prioritize the well-being of every furry guest.

What we ask is simple: that your cat is healthy, showing no signs of a contagious illness, and hasn't been exposed to a sick cat in the past 14 days. All guests acknowledge a short Health & Wellness declaration before arrival — it's our way of keeping every cat safe without making the process complicated.

We're a brand-new, cat-exclusive facility just outside Fort St. John. Your cat gets their own private suite — no shared spaces, no unnecessary stress. Just a calm, comfortable place to stay while you're away.💕

Book online anytime at beforethebendboarding.com — and feel free to read our full vaccination policy there too. We'd love to welcome your cat. 🐱

Today is a day to listen, to reflect, and to honour the strength and resilience of Indigenous peoples across Canada.

We hold space for the ongoing journey toward truth, healing, and justice — and stand in respect for Indigenous communities across this country.

Every child mattered. Every child matters.
