Progress Update on Daisy! 🐾
Daisy and Mae have done an incredible job on their reactivity journey together!
Daisy did not have the best start in life but was lucky enough to find an amazing home with her new owner. After a year of getting to know each other, Daisy started to show signs of reactivity and aggressive behaviours towards other dogs, potentially due to a lack of socialization and support before coming to live with Mae.
At the start of this journey, Daisy would lunge, growl, and bark at nearly every dog she saw.
After going through our Reactivity Program, Daisy has learned to trust her handler and is learning to regulate her emotions around other dogs at a distance. Mae has learned how to best support Daisy through her BIG feelings, built the confidence to take her to public places again, and developed a small circle of dogs that Daisy can safely socialize with.
Behavioural modification is a lifelong journey.
The saying goes, “If you don’t use it, you lose it!” This is one of the hardest parts of working through reactivity. It takes staying consistent, providing regular positive exposure, and always working towards that next goalpost.
Daisy is SO lucky to have an owner who is dedicated to her success! 🧡🐾
