🍂 Can you feel it in the air? Fall is here! 🍂

Which means it’s time to switch gears into our Fall/Winter Pack Walk schedule! 🐾

Starting Monday, September 7th, our Pack Walk Program will begin a little later as the weather starts to cool down and we say goodbye to those hot summer mornings.

Fall & winter are by far the pack’s (and my!) favourite seasons. There’s just something about crisp mornings, muddy trails, crunchy leaves, fresh snow and a pack of happy dogs running together that is hard to beat!

As sad as we are about how quickly summer flew by, we are SO ready for a full season of cool weather adventures! Longer walks, more exploring, plenty of sniffing, playing, running and, eventually, some very snowy pups. ❄️🐾

The cooler months give us so much more freedom to adventure without worrying about the heat, and the dogs absolutely thrive in it. Some of our best pack days happen with rosy cheeks, frozen leashes and a van full of tired, happy dogs at the end of the day. 😂❤️

Here’s to another fall & winter spent doing what we love with the best pack around. 🍂🐾❄️

Looking for something fun to do with your dog this September? Our drop-in classes are a great way to get out of the house, learn something new, build confidence and spend some quality time together!

Whether your dog loves to run, sniff, play or learn new tricks, there’s something for everyone! 💛

💜 Drop-In Agility
Run, jump and weave! Agility is a fun way to build confidence, improve communication and challenge your dog both physically and mentally.

🩵 Scent Practice
Let your dog put that incredible nose to work! Scent work provides fantastic mental enrichment while building independence, focus and confidence.

🩷 Puppy Play Time
A safe, supervised space for puppies to play, explore and practice those important early social skills. Plus… puppy chaos. What could be better?! 🐶

💛 Tricks n Training
Come learn something new! Work on fun tricks, training skills and engagement while enjoying some one-on-one time with your dog.

🎓Bessie is officially a puppy training graduate!

This sweet little Beagle just wrapped up her Private Puppy Training Program, and she has come such a long way!

Over the last few weeks, Bessie and her family have been working hard on building strong foundations, including engagement, leash skills, impulse control, confidence, and all those important everyday manners that help turn a busy puppy into a great companion. 🐶

Bessie brought lots of Beagle personality to every session! Curious, clever, and always ready for a snack! 😂❤️

Puppy training isn’t about creating a “perfect” puppy. It’s about giving them the skills, confidence, and communication they need as they grow. Giving their humans the tools to keep that training going at home.

Congratulations Bessie & family! You guys did an amazing job! 🥰🐾

We’re back! 🐾

We had such a great vacation, but we definitely missed all of you and your pups! 💛

All services are back to our regular schedule starting tomorrow, and I’m so excited to get back out with the dogs!

I have quite a few emails, messages, and inquiries to catch up on, so please give me this week to work my way through everything. Thank you for being patient with me while I get caught up!

📢 Closure Reminder! ☀️🐾

Just a friendly reminder to all of my wonderful clients that Wag’n It Canine Adventures & Training will be closed from August 7 to August 24.

All services will resume on August 25, and I can’t wait to see all of my amazing pack dogs and their families again!

Please allow a few days after I return for me to catch up on emails and messages. I appreciate your patience while I get back into the swing of things.

I’m looking forward to coming back refreshed, recharged, and ready for more big adventures, fun training sessions, and wagging tails! 💙🧡

Another week of wagging tails, happy adventures, and tired pups! 🐾💙

From exploring new trails to practicing great manners and enjoying time with friends, these dogs had an absolute blast. Pack walks are so much more than just exercise. They provide mental enrichment, social opportunities, confidence building, and plenty of chances to practice real life skills in a fun environment.

Watching each dog grow week after week is one of my favourite parts of this job. Thank you to all of my wonderful pack members for another fantastic week!

🐾 The Fear Stage. A normal part of growing up! 🐾

Just two weeks ago, Mochi was confidently flying over this hurdle. Today? She wasn’t even sure she wanted to step over it.

Has she forgotten everything? Nope.

She’s simply going through a normal developmental fear stage. As puppies grow, their brains become more aware of their surroundings and start questioning whether things are safe.

Most dogs experience this around 8–11 weeks and again during adolescence (6–14 months).

Instead of asking Mochi to do something she wasn’t comfortable with or giving up all together, we made the exercise easier while still encouraging her to be brave. We lowered the challenge, gave her the choice to try, and celebrated every bit of confidence she showed.

Confidence isn’t built by forcing dogs through their fears or avoiding challenges. It’s built by giving them opportunities to succeed and prove to themselves that they are capable!
