Meet Madi, one of our amazing vet technicians, and the adorable Oreo! 🖤🤍🐾

Madi joined our team a few summers ago, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her as part of the FMAH family! ❤️ We’re so lucky to have such a caring and dedicated team member helping us take care of our furry friends.

And of course, we couldn’t resist sharing this sweet moment with little Oreo! 🍪🐶

Keep yapping, we’re here to listen 🫶🐶… but tell us your pet’s name first 😂

All jokes aside, we LOVE hearing your stories and catching up with our clients! ❤️ Just remember to give us your name and your pet’s name when you call so we can get everything we need sorted out while we chat, catch up, and gossip along with you. 😂🐾

We promise we’re listening to both the story AND the medical history! 😉🩺

🐱🔬 Meet Kai!

Little Kai came for her very first veterinary appointment and vaccinations! During her checkup, we discovered that she had ear mites.

With a closer look under the microscope, we were able to get a better look at these tiny parasites!

Did you know? Here are a few facts about ear mites:
- Ear mites are tiny parasites that live in the ear canal and feed on debris and oils in the skin.

- They are especially common in kittens and can spread easily between animals through close contact.

-Common signs include head shaking, frequent scratching at the ears, redness, and dark, coffee-ground-like debris inside the ears.

-If left untreated, ear mites can cause significant irritation and inflammation, and may lead to secondary ear infections.

Why are regular veterinary checkups important?

Even when your pet seems perfectly healthy, routine veterinary visits can help identify problems that might otherwise go unnoticed. For kittens like Kai, these early appointments are also important for vaccinations, parasite checks, and getting them started on the right preventative care.

We’re so glad Kai came in for her first visit! 🐾❤️
