🐱💙Some moments are worth the wait. 💙🐱

We are so happy to share that we recently presented Cats Anonymous Rescue and Adoption with a cheque for $5,479. 🥹

Every dollar of it came from cash donations made right here in our store during June Paw Month. Some of you gave a few dollars, some gave more, and each one added up to something truly special. This is only a portion of what we raised, and it will go toward the care and food of every cat at the shelter. 🐾

It took a while to get here, but handing over that cheque was one of those proud moments we have as a team. We were overjoyed, and we want you to know that this was all you. Every person who stopped at our counter, reached into their wallet, and chose to help a cat in need made this happen.

Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and for being the heart of our community. We are so grateful. 💙

🥹❤️ Meet Charlie, formerly known as JarJar! 🐾

Back in September, at our adoption event with the North Bay Humane Society, Charlie found the thing every dog dreams of: his forever family. 🏡💛 And this week, he walked back into Pet Valu Fergus for treats, food, and toys, and our hearts completely melted all over again. 😭❤️

Look at that face. Eyes closed, head tipped back, the softest little smile. 😌✨ That is pure, overflowing joy. That is a dog who knows, with his whole heart, that he is loved, safe, and finally home. 🧡

Charlie, you deserve every cuddle, every belly rub, every treat, and every cozy spot on the couch for the rest of your life. 🛋️🐶 We are so happy for you that we could burst.

Moments like this are why we love what we do. Every adoption is a love story, and we feel so lucky to get a glimpse of the happy endings. 🥰🐾

🍁 Did you know?! 👀

You can shop local AND shop online! Pet Valu Fergus is on Uber, Instacart, and DoorDash, so your pet’s favourites can be at your door, often within the hour. 🚗💨

Out of kibble at 7pm? Pup decided today is a treat day? Cat has strong opinions about her wet food? We’ve got you covered, without leaving the couch. 🛋️🐶🐱

When you order from us, you’re still supporting your neighbours right here in Fergus: a local team, a local store, and a local pet family we love. It’s the best of both worlds: the convenience of online ordering with the heart of a community shop. ❤️

Proudly local. Proudly Canadian. Always here for your furry family. 🇨🇦🐾

Y’ALL. MEET DOUG!!! 🐶🤠🧡

Remember the sweet basset hound pup who wandered into our store with NO NAME?! Well, HE HAS ONE NOW and it is DOUG. And he is officially a regular because puppy shopping is a full-time job and Doug takes his career VERY seriously. 🛍️🐾

But wait. It gets better. He tried on a HALLOWEEN COSTUME. Ladies and gentlemen, introducing Doug the cowdog... um, COWBOY. 🤠 Yeehaw doesn’t even begin to cover it!!! Those ears! Those paws! That tiny hat! That face!! We cannot be expected to function!

Is it possible for a human to be this cute? Not a human, a basset, but you get it. We are absolutely DONE FOR. 😭🧡

Doug, the saloon doors are always open for you, partner. Come back and shop anytime! 🌵✨

Dizzy walked in for her fur sibling supplies and walked out with our hearts. 🐾

Who booked this model?! 📸 1½-year-old Frenchie cross Dizzy popped in for a quick shop and turned our store into her personal runway.

Head tilt left? Nailed it. Head tilt right? Flawless. Full front view? Chef’s kiss. 💅

And that ear. ONE UP. ONE DOWN. We can’t stop staring and we’re not sorry. 😍

Dizzy, your fur siblings are lucky to have you (and we’re lucky you stopped by)! 🐶✨

🐾 Meet Levi, one of our favorite faces from Neighbourhood Pet Store Day! Levi swung by with his human and left with a free goodie bag, just like all our amazing pet customers today. 🎉

This day means so much to us because it’s a chance to say thank you to the community that’s supported our little shop from day one. Every wagging tail, every purring hello, every regular who pops in for treats — you’re the reason we get to do what we love. So yesterday was our way of giving a little back.

Thanks for being the best neighbourhood a pet store could ask for. Here’s to many more tail wags ahead! 🐶🐱💙
