RITA’S JOURNEY 🐾 ♥️

Rita was surrendered to the Arthur Animal Rescue for fear aggression. She struggled in a multi cat foster’s household and was even considered potentially non-rehabilitable.

We offered to foster her here at the Fergus Veterinary Hospital.

Rita started in complete solitude. No pressure. No forced interaction. We simply fed her, cared for her, and let her decide when she was ready.

After a week or two, she asked for a pet. ❤️

Over the past few months, Rita has transformed from a fearful cat hiding in a kennel into a sweet, affectionate, free-roaming clinic cat.

Now, we think she’s ready for her next chapter ♥️

Rita is looking for a quiet home, ideally without other pets, and a patient, loving owner who will give her the time and space she needs to build trust. Someone who understands that love doesn’t always happen overnight.

Rita has taught us an important lesson: sometimes, the animals who need the most patience are the ones who have the most love to give.

We believe Rita deserves someone who will see the cat she is becoming, not the cat she was when she arrived.

Could you be Rita’s person? ❤️ Please DM us if interested.
