🐴💙 It’s More Than Just Riding
When you think of riding lessons, you probably picture being in the saddle—but at Horse Sense for Kids, there’s so much more to learn!
Being a good horse person starts long before you put your foot in the stirrup. 🐎
During lessons, our riders learn skills like:
🪢 Catching and safely handling their horse
🧹 Grooming and checking their horse over
🤠 Tacking up and learning about equipment
🐴 Leading and groundwork
🥕 Horse care and understanding their needs
👀 Reading body language and communication
💙 Building trust and a relationship with their horse
We want our riders to understand **the whole horse**, not just how to ride one.
Sometimes the biggest accomplishments happen outside of the saddle—catching a horse independently for the first time, remembering how to tack up, recognizing when something doesn't look quite right, or figuring out how to communicate when your horse isn't quite understanding you.
Because becoming a confident rider is great…but becoming a knowledgeable, responsible horse person is even better. 🐴🌟
