(français suit) Driving around Farnham, I often stop and inform people walking long-haired dogs that could I spin their pet's hair into yarn and knit them mittens, hats, ... One evening, from afar, a gorgeous Keeshond https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/26/Keeshond_Majic_standing_cropped.jpg/500px-Keeshond_Majic_standing_cropped.jpg(which I know because my mom was Dutch) with a fantastic coat, came into view. After speaking with the lovely couple that was walking it, interested, the man said : "just Facebook message me". Puzzled, I said "do I know you?" He replied graciously "Patrick Melchior" Oops, he's the mayor of Farnham! Having met many times, it proves once again, that I recognize dogs better than people.
----- En conduisant dans les environs de Farnham, je m'arrête souvent pour dire aux gens qui promènent des chiens à poils longs que je pourrais filer les poils de leur animal en laine et leur tricoter des mitaines, des bonnets, ... Un soir, de loin, un magnifique Keeshond (que je connais car ma mère était hollandaise) avec un pelage fantastique, est apparu. Après avoir discuté avec le charmant couple qui le promenait, intéressé, l'homme a dit : « Envoyez-moi un message Facebook ». Perplexe, j'ai demandé « Est-ce que je vous connais ? » Il a répondu gracieusement « Patrick Melchior ». Oups, c'est le maire de Farnham ! L'avoir rencontré à de nombreuses reprises, cela prouve une fois de plus que je reconnais mieux les chiens que les gens.
