This morning was one for the books. Our first hunt of the season and we had geese landing all around us but just out of range. Finally a couple of flocks came in just before the storm and gave up a couple great shots! It also happened to be the first time I (Em) shot a goose as I’ve been running dogs/cameras for the last 5 years. We had to pack up quite quickly to beat some wicked thunderstorms, and as we were doing so, we got the devastating news that a great friend had passed suddenly the night before. I can only imagine she may have saw our effort and that we brought the lab out today and sent us some extra luck. Our hearts are both full and broken today. Bea, you’ll be forever in our hearts. I was so excited for the future plans we had together. Whatever comes next, we know we’ll have your love for life guiding us 💕
