October is RVT Appreciation Month, and we’re celebrating our two amazing Registered Veterinary Technicians, Berit and Alyssa!
Our RVTs are an essential part of our team, wearing many hats throughout the day. From assisting with procedures and helping keep our vets safe, to providing skilled patient care and keeping the day running smoothly, they make a difference at every step.
Becoming an RVT takes dedication, including completing an accredited veterinary technology program, passing the Veterinary Technician National Examination, and meeting registration requirements. Maintaining their credentials also means ongoing continuing education to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.
With their specialized training, RVTs play a vital role in providing quality veterinary care, performing a wide range of clinical tasks such as IV catheter placement, administering prescribed medications, and monitoring patients during procedures, working within their training and under the appropriate veterinary direction and supervision.
We’re so grateful to have such talented, knowledgeable, and dedicated RVTs on our team. Thank you, Berit and Alyssa, for everything you do! 🐴💙
