Buhler Stock Horses c**t starting, fine tuning, ranch & rope horses We are located near Endeavour, Saskatchewan.

Ben's focus is going back to the basics and creating a solid foundation; building versatile horses that are willing, can take pressure, and will stay broke. The main focus at our place is the horses, that being said we also have grass cattle in summer and run some custom cows. We feel the horses really benefit from being able to go out and do a job, whether its pushing bush, pasture doctoring, or

branding calves. We offer c**t starting, general riding/tune ups, roping, ranch horse versatility, and problem solving.

I guess it’s maybe kind of weird sharing someone else’s sale ad on our page, but this one is pretty exciting for us. This is a gelding we raised and Ben trained, so it’s pretty cool to see him out there doing well.
The Pintars have done a great job marketing him and I’m sure they’ll do well with him.

Recently a friend told me she had gotten into an argument with someone about whether Ben was a cowboy or a horse trainer. I laughed cuz… really? do people have nothing better to argue about?

But then I got to thinking about it and they are both kinda wrong.

When I met Ben I thought he was a cowboy. Full fledged buckaroo with the flat hat and 60ft rope. White long-sleeve with the top button done up. You had to start a horse in a hackamore and work up to a bridle. Anything else was subpar.

Fast forward a few years, a lot of miles and a LOT of horses ridden with a lot of really good people..he’s not a cowboy. He’s a horseman.

A cowboy uses a horse to get a job done.

A horseman will use a job to make a better horse.

I’m not out to offend but literally anyone can decide they want to train horses or be a cowboy.

A horseman is born with The Disease. The obsession. The inability to quit studying horses. The constant pursuit of getting better, and helping every horse become better too.

13 years ago today I said ‘I do’ to a cowboy. Turns out I married a horseman. I’d do it again.

Everyone says you need a good ‘work-life balance’… We load the kids up to go check cattle and call it a vacation. Thankful for good horses that make it possible!
