Our services include routine preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, radiology, grooming and more. Our staff includes 3 full-time veterinarians, and a s

upport staff of 10. We are proud of our hospital and always welcome requests for tours. In September 2009, we received the accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association .

Wellington Veterinary Services is excited to be partnering with the Canadian Animal Blood Bank for a Dog Blood Donor Clinic! ❤️

Just like people, dogs can require lifesaving blood transfusions during emergencies, surgeries, and treatment for serious illnesses. One canine blood donor can help save the lives of up to three dogs! 🐶❤️

🩸 Could your dog be a blood donor?

Potential donors should:
🐾 Be 1–8 years old
🐾 Weigh 55 lbs (25 kg) or more
🐾 Be healthy and even-tempered
🐾 Be up to date on vaccinations
🐾 Not be taking medications other than routine parasite prevention
🐾 Have never received a blood transfusion

Every donation makes a difference and helps ensure blood is available when another dog needs it most. ❤️

VERY important to keep in mind👇👇

🔥 Avoid Strenuous Activity: Don't exercise your pet in hot weather (especially the short-snouted breeds as they are prone to overheating!). Look out for excessive panting, lethargy, or drooling. If you notice these signs, move your pet to a cooler area right away.

🌊 Stay Hydrated & Shaded: Always carry a portable water bowl to keep your pets refreshed during outings and make sure there’s a shaded spot for your pets to escape the sun’s intense rays.

🚗 Never Leave Pets in Cars: Even for a short time and even with AC on, cars can heat up dangerously fast. Leave your best bud in a safe, cool spot to avoid the risk!

🐾 Protect Those Paws: If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws! Choose grassy paths to avoid pavements that could burn your pet’s feet, or consider using paw-safe booties.
