🦃🍂 Happy Thanksgiving long weekend!

We hope everyone gets a chance to slow down a little, spend some time with family and friends, eat some good food and just enjoy being together. ❤️

This Thanksgiving, we’re especially thankful for this wonderful community we get to be a part of , and for every single person who chooses to stop in and support Leno’s.

And if you’re halfway through dinner and realize you forgot the cranberry sauce… or that one thing you were SURE you had 😂 we’ve got you!

WE ARE OPEN ALL LONG WEEKEND 8am-10pm

Now we want to hear from you, what are you thankful for this season? ❤️👇

❤️October 16th is World Restart a Heart Day❤️

This is something that’s especially close to our hearts here at Leno’s. If you’ve ever noticed the AED mounted outside our building, you know how important we believe access to lifesaving equipment is.

But having access is only half of it, knowing what to do in an emergency matters too!

On October 16th, drop into the Elmsdale Fire Hall between 2–4pm for a FREE hands-on session to learn CPR, how to use an AED and what to do when every second counts.

❤️ Take the class. Learn the skill. You never know when you might need it.❤️

🍂📌 FIRST SUNDAY OF OCTOBER — YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS… LENO’S LOWDOWN! 📌🍂

What a great way to head into October! 🧡 It was so nice seeing so many people around East Hants wearing their orange for Truth and Reconciliation Day. We love seeing our community show up!

And speaking of our community… what’s everyone got going on this week?! 👀

🎃 Events coming up?
💼 Hiring or looking for work?
🎟️ Fundraiser happening?
🛍️ Something to sell?
🏒 Sports, clubs or registrations?
🛠️ Offering a local service?

You know the drill — if you would’ve pinned it to the bulletin board at Leno’s, drop it right here in the comments! 📌

And have a scroll while you’re here to see what everyone else has going on.

🧄💜🧄A little homegrown goodness, courtesy of the man himself!🧄💜🧄

There are a LOT of things you can find at Leno’s Stop Shop, but did you know that one of our community favourites is actually grown by Leno himself?!

That’s right! Leno’s Organic Garlic is grown right here in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia, and has made quite a name for itself around here!

We’ve always been big on supporting local, and it doesn’t get much more local than this! 💜

There’s a lot of pride that goes into growing something from the ground up, and we love seeing that hard work make its way into your kitchens and onto your dinner tables!

🧡 EVERY CHILD MATTERS 🧡

Today, we’re wearing orange at Leno’s Stop Shop to remember the Indigenous children who were taken from their families and sent to residential schools — children who were separated from their homes, languages, cultures and loved ones.

Some never came home.

We honour the Survivors who carried those experiences with them, and the families and communities who continue to live with the effects of that history.

For us, being a neighbourhood store means more than serving the people who walk through our doors. It means caring about the people, stories and history that make up our community — including the truths that are difficult to hear.

Today, we’re taking a moment to listen, learn and remember.

We hope others will do the same.

🧡 Every child matters. Every story matters. Every community has a role in reconciliation. 🧡

🍂📌 LAST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER — YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS… LENO’S LOWDOWN! 📌🍂

Seriously… where did September go?! 😂

School is back in full swing, fall activities are underway, the mornings are getting cooler, and somehow we’re already heading into October! 🍁

Before we flip that calendar, we want to know…

And make sure you have a scroll through the comments — you never know what one of your neighbours, local businesses or community groups has going on!
