Liddy’s foster mom is moving out of province, which means this wonderful girl urgently needs a new place to lay her head—either a temporary foster home or, even better, her forever family.
It is a complete mystery why Liddy is still waiting. She is an absolute gem of an all-around dog: quiet, exceptionally friendly, great with other dogs, completely fine being left home on her own, and just as happy chilling on the couch beside you as she is going for walks, although she does love fun and adventure!

📅 Less than two months until the 10th Annual Haunted Forest Fundraiser October 22-24!

🔨 Work bees will start soon and we are still looking for builders and creators willing to help construct props and scare stations. We can provide ideas, tutorials, and materials if you supply the manpower!

🛸 A couple things on our wish list are to expand the D’Edson Jail and add a UFO to the alien area.

🤝 It could be a fun way to spend a weekend with family, friends or coworkers while assisting a great cause. Please share!

**Foster Found!!**

RE*****ON NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER IMMEDIATELY! HE MUST BE MOVED NO LATER THAN 08/31

Re*****on is an extremely sweet young man just over one year old. He has been in care since he was six weeks, but his foster has now taken a job that puts them out of town and he therefore needs to find a new foster or better yet, an adopter.

Re*****on is a large pup at about 75 pounds. He is a mix of many breeds. His sister’s DNA test showed mostly Boxer and Rottweiler, which leads him to be the same. He does great with the dogs that are medium size and larger. He is a little too rambunctious for smaller dogs and cats.

His foster describes him as extremely friendly and loyal. He is a large boy with a goofy personality. He is incredibly smart and eager to please. He walks well on leash, and has decent recall off leash. He loves to spend his days with his people and would do best in a home can provide him structure and routine.

Update on mama, now Zelda 💖
Her surgery went great, minus one ni**le. She's on strict bed rest and will need lots of TLC over the next few weeks, but she should heal up just fine. She's not able to care for her remaining baby while she's recovering, but worry not, the little one is with our best bottle feeder and is doing good so far.
We're in need of someone to foster Zelda during her recovery, and we also have her cute little boyfriend Link in need of a foster home as well. If you're interested fill out our foster application on our website edsonanimalrescue.ca

Very sad case today folks 😥
This poor mama was abandoned for over a month and in that time gave birth to 4 kittens. When we picked her up to assess her, we realized that her poor little belly had been torn open somehow, but she had still been trying to feed and care for her babies. We rushed them to the emergency vet, and the way she reached for her kittens while she was being patched up was gutwrenching. Sadly, 3 of her babies didn't make it 💔
I don't even know what to say anymore. Humans can be so cruel.

Update: foster home secured 🙂

Urgent Foster Needed: Sweet & Playful Luna
Meet Luna! This gorgeous 11-month-old Husky, German Shepherd, and Malamute mix is searching for a temporary foster home while she waits for her forever family.
Luna has made incredible progress, and she is ready to show you how much love she has to give!

Key Details About Luna
Personality: Skittish with new adults at first, but turns into an absolute cuddle bug once she warms up to you!
Kids: She adores children and will play endlessly with them.
Other Dogs: Gets along wonderfully with other dogs.
Training:
House and kennel trained
Highly treat-motivated (great for continued training!)
Reliable recall on a long line and off-leash once she knows you
Outdoors: Loves walks and gains a huge confidence boost when she is outside (she has done great at off-leash dog parks!).
Guard Duty: Has a big, protective bark that makes her a wonderful watchdog for the home.

🍫Twix is back from the specialist and he's started treatment for FIP ❤️‍🩹
Feline infectious peritonitis is a severe viral disease that was once, not too long ago, a death sentence. But a new medication is now available that skyrockets his chances to 85-90%, so we are hopeful for a full recovery for this sweet boy.
