We just wanted to take a moment to recognize and share our appreciation for our wonderful veterinarian, Dr. Alireza Zandi!
Dr. Alireza Zandi is such a valued part of our team, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize just how much we appreciate him. He brings positivity into the clinic every day with his warm smile, kind personality, and a joke that usually keeps the whole team laughing.

What stands out most is the genuine care he shows to every animal and every person around him. Whether he is caring for one of our patients or helping with a beloved pet belonging to one of our own staff members, Dr. Zandi consistently goes above and beyond. His compassion and dedication extend far beyond the expectations of his role.

He truly treats every pet as if they were his own — although we’re not sure anyone could ever be quite as spoiled as his pup, Brownie! We feel incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Zandi as part of our team.

We think fleas are gross too!
Fleas are small, wingless insects that are external parasites, feeding on the blood of mammals and birds. Here are some key facts about fleas:
1. Life Cycle: Fleas undergo a complete metamorphosis, which includes four stages: egg, larva, pupa, and adult. The entire life cycle can take as little as two weeks to several months, depending on environmental conditions.
2. Feeding: Adult fleas feed on the blood of their hosts, and they can consume up to 15 times their body weight in blood each day. This feeding can lead to irritation, allergic reactions, and even anemia in pets.
3. Reproduction: A female flea can lay up to 50 eggs per day, leading to rapid infestations. The eggs fall off the host into the environment, making flea control challenging.
4. Health Risks: Fleas can transmit various diseases to pets and humans, including tapeworms and flea allergy dermatitis, which can cause severe itching and skin infections.
5. Prevention and Control: Regular use of flea prevention treatments, such as topical medications, or oral tablets can help keep pets flea-free. It's also important to treat the environment, including bedding and carpets, to eliminate flea eggs and larvae.
Understanding these facts can help pet owners take effective measures against fleas and protect their pets' health.
