Hey Murphy! šŸ‘‹

How are you doing today, buddy?

Let's get Murphy groomed!

After saying hello and getting comfortable, we went straight into a pre-shave. Because let's be honest - when the request is "shorter," it makes no sense to put a dog through extra drying and brushing before taking the coat off.

Next stop: the bath

Fast-forward through the boring human stuff, skip the drying, skip the finishing work...

And voilĆ  - Murphy is ready to show off his fresh new look

How handsome is this guy? šŸ˜

Finding fresh perspectives on good old de-shedding šŸ“ø

Just another de-shedding groom- except every handful of loose coat removed means less fur on your floors, furniture, clothes, and probably in your morning coffee lol

Working with senior dogs is a category of grooming all on its own.

I'm used to puppies, busy youngsters, and energetic dogs who never stop moving. But senior pets are different. Sometimes they feel more like a delicate crystal vase than a dog on a grooming table.

With older dogs, the goal isn't to create a perfect haircut. Their comfort always comes first. Every extra minute standing, every position change, every procedure has to be carefully considered.

This sweet little gentleman came in looking quite overgrown, and my biggest goal was to help him feel comfortable again. I tried to find the right balance between achieving a neat, tidy groom and not pushing him beyond what was comfortable.

I try to keep my content as diverse as possible and avoid cross-posting. But sometimes there’s a groom I just can’t stop coming back to.

You may have already seen this beauty on my Instagram, but I love the result too much not to share it here as well.

This is Bonnie, a Tibetan Terrier, and this was her dog show preparation.

Hours of bathing, brushing, drying, and careful sc******ng all come together for moments like this. Seeing her standing proud and looking her absolute best makes every minute worth it.

What do you think of Bonnie's show-day look? šŸ’™šŸ¾

How do you fit 1.5 hours of grooming into a 20-second reel?
You don’t šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
But we can definitely try!

Chica came in, freshened up her feathers, got all pretty, and promised to come back soon…

See you next time, Chica! 🐾

You know, I truly love working with dogs. All dogs.

Big dogs, tiny dogs, puppies, seniors, goofy ones, dramatic ones, and those with their own very specific opinions about the grooming process.

But sometimes… the grooming gods smile upon you.
The stars align.
The coat is beautiful.
The dog is perfectly trained for grooming.
The behaviour is amazing.
And the owner says the magic words:
ā€œDo whatever you think is best.ā€

Meet Gibson, the Poodle.

Mom had only a few requests: please don’t touch the hair on her head because it’s fabulous, give her a classic poodle face, clean feet if possible, and bracelets.

And honestly? I fully agree about the head. That hair is not just fabulous - it’s main character energy.

Somewhere in the middle of the creative process, I completely lost control of the situation. At some point, I wasn’t even sure anymore… am I grooming a dog, or are we doing a full editorial photoshoot?

So yes, I took way too many photos.
No, I could not choose only two.
And yes, Gibson absolutely understood the assignment.

What do you think of this before and after transformation?

Heavy shedders are a whole process.

First, you have to get that coat fully wet through the packed undercoat - and that’s when the good old scoop comes to the rescue.

Then it’s scrub, scrub, scrub…

Honestly, who knew washing dog butts could be this therapeutic?

After that: dry and brush, brush and dry… and somehow there’s still more hair.

But the result?
What a beautyšŸ„¹šŸ¾ā¤ļø

Realistic first puppy groom photos?

Here you go.

Yes, the ā€œbeforeā€ might be cuter than the ā€œafter.ā€
Yes, this might not be the smartest marketing post.
And yes, I’m still posting it.

Because first puppy grooming is not about perfection.

It’s about making sure the puppy feels safe.
It’s about stopping before they are overwhelmed.
It’s about building trust, not forcing a perfect haircut.

Sometimes the best result is not the most polished photo.

Sometimes the best result is a puppy who leaves calm, curious, and ready to come back again without fear.

That is the real goal of a first grooming appointmentā¤ļø
