🎃👻 Halloween is Creeping Up!🐾🍬

With Halloween just around the corner next weekend, we wanted to share a few spooky reminders to keep your furry family members safe! 🧡

While Halloween treats are delicious for us, some can be downright frightening for our pets!

🍫 Chocolate – Toxic to dogs and cats, especially dark chocolate and baking chocolate.

🍬 Sugar-Free Candy & Gum– Some contain xylitol (also called birch sugar), which can be extremely dangerous for dogs.

🍇 Raisins– Even small amounts can cause serious kidney damage in dogs.

🍭 Candy Wrappers*– Foil and plastic wrappers can cause choking or intestinal blockages if swallowed.

🎃 Keep the Candy Bowl Out of Paw's Reach! Curious noses and sneaky paws can get into trouble faster than you think!

And don't forget, Halloween can be a little overwhelming for some pets. With doorbells ringing, costumes everywhere, and excited trick-or-treaters, make sure your pets have a quiet, comfortable place to relax.

If you suspect your pet has eaten something toxic, contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary hospital right away. Don't wait for symptoms to appear!

From all of us at Tamarack Veterinary Clinic, we wish you and your furry little monsters a safe, happy, and wonderfully spooky Halloween! 🐈‍⬛🐶🧡

Happy Howl-o-ween! 🎃🐾

🎉🐾 Well, well, well… what do we have here?! 🐾🎉

Dogs and cats coming together to welcome Dr. Misiaszek back from her trip AND celebrate her birthday?! Sounds like a pretty special day to us! 🎂❤️

For those who don't know, Dr. Suzanne Misiaszek isn't just an incredible veterinarian — she's also the owner, founder, and heart behind Tamarack Veterinary Clinic. ❤️

She didn't just build a veterinary clinic. She built a family.

A place where animals and their people feel welcomed, understood, safe, and supported. A place where compassion comes first, where Fear Free care isn't just a certification, but a philosophy, and where Gold Standard Feline Friendly care is something we strive to provide every single day.

She has worked tirelessly to break down the barriers for animals who are fearful, anxious, misunderstood, or labelled as "aggressive." She's shown us that behind those behaviours is often an animal who is simply scared and needs someone willing to understand them.

And she's built a team that believes in that same mission. A team that cares not only about the animals walking through our doors, but also about the people who love them.

Where would we all be without her? Who knows! But one thing we do know is just how incredibly proud we are of everything she's created, everything she's accomplished, and the difference she continues to make in the lives of animals, their families, and our team.

So here's to the woman who started it all. The fearless leader, the passionate veterinarian, the advocate for the misunderstood, and the person who made Tamarack what it is today. 🐾❤️

Happy Birthday, Dr. Suzanne Misiaszek! 🎉🎂

We hope your day is as wonderful as the place you've created and the lives you've touched.

With love,
Your Tamarack Family ❤️🐾
