Something to think about 👇🏼👇🏼

But it’s got a catchy name, and if you don’t think too hard, concern yourself with reality, or fret over those untidy unforeseen outcomes, it sounds really good.

Perhaps the most critical piece of the training puzzle which owners need to understand.

You wouldn’t expect your college professor to ensure you create a great life. That would be ludicrous. We all know that education is only the foundation, the starting point, and that what comes next is up to us.

Same goes with your dog trainer. A great trainer WILL give you a great foundation, but in reality that’s all they CAN give you. You are the one who will be living day in and day out with your dog. You are the one who will or won’t enforce the rules. You are the one who will or won’t take the time to use the tools, even if they’re a pain to setup. You are the one who will or won’t take the advice and do the hard work your trainer has laid out for you and your dog.

If you expect training to be an “event” that you pay for and it keeps running on its own, you’re going to be terribly disappointed. Because regardless of what your dog actually knows, and what they’re actually capable of, if you fail to “show up”, none of what’s possible will show up either.

As I enter the third trimester my body Is forcing me to slow down and I must respect that!

I will no longer be taking on new clients. For those who are booked already, this will not effect your session. I do not have any specific dates planned to return at this time. When I do I will announce on here, Facebook and my website. I may still occasionally post or share some information. However my main focus at this time is to finish preparing for our newest arrival & spending time with those close to us.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to send an email or dm and I will respond when I am available!

Every dog is different and unique.

Nixon has been a great teacher for me. The main struggles his owner has are pretty common with other dogs. Mine even struggled with similar behaviors & anxieties when I first got them. My typical approach to these issues were not always successful with him. He challenged me to think differently about his situation. I reached out to a couple of different trainers to get some advice on another approach. With their advice we have had some amazing breakthroughs.

Beyond grateful for the advice & support from other trainers!

Meet Nixon!

Can you tell who had their photoshoot a day earlier?

Nixon & Klaus are brothers! They have been struggling to get along which has been cause a lot of stress and anxiety within the home. He will also be here for 3 weeks, which gives us plenty of time to work on all their owners concerns!

Rio is here for a Board & Train. His owners have been struggling with reactivity (not aggressive) when he sees another dog, typically when he is unable to greet. During his stay with us we will refine his basic commands, address his leash manners, and teach him to mind his business & remain calm while on walks!

When results and evidence are elusive, all you have left to “battle” with is clever-sounding, emotionally-triggering rhetoric.

They’re counting on you to be an easy mark. Without your unquestioning buy-in, they’re lost.

Don’t fall for it. Demand results. Demand evidence.

These should be an easy delivery for such an advanced, modern, “science-based” training ideology...I mean approach.
