We’re close to opening with just a few things to finish! Stay tuned for more updates, but if you’d like to get your dog set up so they can attend when we are open, send us a DM and we’ll get you all ready in our system.

We wanted to take a minute to update everyone on our west location.

We have found new contractors who recently started cleaning up and fixing the devastating mess left by the last contractors. They have a big job on their hands and we are thankful for them.

It’s been a stressful and upsetting experience for sure and we’re looking forward to seeing the finished product more than ever before. Our new contractors predict about 6 weeks of work to get everything finished and ready for our doggos and yours of course!

A question we get asked daily is “This is awful, how can we help?” This is so appreciated. More than you’ll ever know. To be honest, the most helpful thing we could ask for is your continued support. Sharing our business with friends, family, and other dog-lovers you meet is the best way to help us get past this unfortunate hurdle that has been the last year of fighting with the wrong contractors to get things finished. Please help by sharing our posts, referring those you meet with dogs who want to join in on the fun, and of course, come and try out the new facility when it’s ready!

We’d love to open in 6 weeks with a big grand opening, a full house of adorable dogs, seeing familiar faces of our clients, but also meeting so many new families that will become part of our dog community in the new location.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll actively post updates and pics on here to keep you informed as we look forward to getting open and getting to do what we love, which is playing with the dogs!

More delays today. 😭
We’ll keep everyone posted but our opening date is TBD. Here are some pictures of how things were left in our building today. Beyond disappointed. Anyone know a good contractor?

Please pick up our spirits with some cute pics of your dogs who will come to see us when we are open.
We’re beyond disappointed. Our contractors are unable to provide a completion date yet and are guesstimating July 15. This project has been ongoing since we took possession September 9. We’re beyond disappointed with the delays and hope that some miracles come our way soon with these construction delays. 😭🐾

We can’t wait til our inside/outside space is ready. The back play space is inspired by rolling rolls. It’ll be so much cuter when the floor is finished and we have doggos in front of the colourful walls!

It appears we should be open on June 15, so we’re hiring for the last few daycare attendant positions currently! We are looking for weekday workers who will be flexible to work weekends when we start getting busier and start getting boarding bookings.

If you are applying, here are things to keep in mind:

1. We are force free. We want workers who understand how to work with dogs in a force-free, loving, and compassionate way.

2. It’s fast paced and there are messes to clean… always! If you have a weak stomach or you can’t keep up with BDE (Big Dog Energy), it’s likely not for you.

3. Our clients (dogs and their people) are the best, so we need staff who are committed to providing top notch care. To do that, you must be passionate about dogs.

4. We’re a team here, so team players are key. We’re looking for positive people who take initiative and support their co-workers.

Gulliver and I snuck in to test out the grip on the floors while the contractors were working on the floors in the other rooms. This guy was too busy ease dropping on the contractors to run around. So here is some video of me quietly running around like an idiot with my nosy boy. 🤣
Whispers are that we should be ready for June 7… fingers crossed! We can’t wait to meet the dogs of west Edmonton!

We are getting closer to an opening date…
Mike and I stopped by today to check out our new reception desk and the progress with the space. The desk is so long and spacious. Can’t wait to check in some sweet pooches at this desk! 😌✨

An update on our space:
Sadly, we’ve encountered more delays with the construction of our space. We’re cancelling the grand opening we had planned and will announce a new grand opening date as soon as we have one.
The delays have been beyond disappointing and beyond reasonable. We’re a small business and these construction delays are costly. We’re frustrated with how long this is taking because it’s just been delays due to things beyond our control (engineering plans/city permit office queues/construction). We’re eager to get our facility open and start getting back to the fun stuff - playing with the dogs!
We wanted to share this with you because we know so many of our dog friends are awaiting much needed hydrotherapy services, or just waiting to test out the new facility. I promise it’s coming soon.
As we get more information regarding an opening date, we’ll share it with you here.

We’re really hoping that once our space is ready to open, we’ll be seeing lots of furry faces very to make this whole process worth the wait!

So close now! We’re getting so excited for things to get all the finishing touches and get to snuggling puppies!
