Since 1980 we have been pleased to service the health care needs of dogs and cats in York region. Nestled within 7 beautiful acres of country property near Newmarket, Ontario, Goldenvale provides an opportunity for pets and their people to roam the grounds.

Vacation Alert 🏖️

Please note that Dr. Steph will be away on vacation from Monday, June 8 through Monday, June 22, inclusive. She will return to the clinic on Tuesday, June 23. During her absence, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Matthew Mak, who will be providing locum coverage. We wish Dr. Steph a wonderful and well-deserved vacation! ☀️🌴

It’s June 1st, and that means heartworm season has officially begun! Heartworm season runs from June through November and is spread through the bite of an infected mosquito.

If you still need to pick up your pet’s heartworm prevention, or if you have questions about which product is best suited for your pup, please give us a call. We’re happy to help keep your furry family members protected all season long! 🐶🦟 🐾

Be sure to grab your pet’s medications and food before we close for the Victoria Day long weekend! Please call ahead and we’ll have everything ready for you. Goldenvale will be closed Saturday, May 16th until Monday, May 18th. We will reopen Tuesday morning at 8am.

Today, 11-month-old Cane Corso Huckleberry came in with his sister Penny for a weigh-in, and this gentle giant tipped the scale at 75.7 kg (166.5 lbs)!! And the best part? He’s not done growing yet.

Watching these big puppies grow into their paws is one of the best parts of what we do. We can’t wait to see how big this handsome boy gets! 🐾🩵
