I know I’m supposed to be chained to a keyboard this week but sometimes Ruadh lets me off leash for a little fun. This is a ridiculous trick but we’ve had so much fun learning it. 😉 🖊️ 📚 🐾 😁

Thank you all for your patience. Mom is on the mend and safely re-homed in Longterm Care. I’ll catch my breath and then start writing and posting more regularly.

I’m home again and happy to report that the first iteration of Empty Collars has been dictated and transcribed. Now comes the work of turning my spoken ramblings into something worth reading. Putting on my writing “work boots” now. 🥾 📚 🐾

Big Hairy Announcement!!

As some of you know, I have decided it is time to step up and write my second book. 📚 ✍️

I am currently working with my publishers and very soon will have completed my first draft. I’ll be sending it off to my editor by the end of April.

My book is called Empty Collars and I’m writing it because the idea just won’t leave me alone. It has bothered me for years that there are so many books and articles about pet loss but very little that speaks to the loss of a working dog. 💔 🐾

My book will be back from the publishers by September and will sell for $29.95 but I have decided to offer it for sale at a pre-release price of $19.95 plus $5.00 postage worldwide.

Hey folks -
I’ve been pretty quiet lately. Some of you know why and I sure appreciate your kindness. Those that dont, well, the short form is that our family sustained some losses in 2025. In a three week period at the beginning of the year, we lost a dog and two parents. For a while there, i could barely breathe.

I just wanted to let you all know that you’ll be hearing more from me in the coming months as I’m working on a project that is very dear to me. ✍️ 📚 🐾 (hint, hint)

You’ll hear more very soon but in the meantime, here’s a picture of the ridiculous creature that’s helping to mend my heart. ♥️ 🐾
