Useful guide. Keep those paws safe. 🐾

🌡️ The numbers don't lie: at 77°F air temp, asphalt hits 125°F. At 87°F air temp, it's up to 143°F.

At 125°, skin destruction can happen in just 60 seconds. That's not "uncomfortable for your dog" — that's a burn injury.

⏲️The 7-second test: Press the back of your hand to the pavement. If you can't hold it there for 7 seconds, it's too hot for your dog's paws.

🐾 Too hot for your bare feet = too hot for theirs. Walk early morning or after sunset instead.

Save this and share it — a lot of owners genuinely don't realize how hot pavement gets relative to the air temperature.

Irish Setters do actually make good writing companions but first they must have their epic beach walk, then breakfast and then, and this point is crucial, enough time to realize they’re tired. We’re not quite there yet… 😉🤣🐾 ☘️ ✍️ 📚 💗

I know I’m supposed to be chained to a keyboard this week but sometimes Ruadh lets me off leash for a little fun. This is a ridiculous trick but we’ve had so much fun learning it. 😉 🖊️ 📚 🐾 😁

Thank you all for your patience. Mom is on the mend and safely re-homed in Longterm Care. I’ll catch my breath and then start writing and posting more regularly.
