Cockatiel season is very much underway, so many babies! You will be able to get a first look at them in this handfeeding video, 15 babies so far and more to join them soon. All my cockatiel pairs got hormonal and started laying within a week or two of each other, a sure sign that they appreciate the new lighting system that enables me to give them mornings, evenings, and a gradual change of seasons. That, along with my modified chop recipe and helped along quite a bit by Mother Nature of course.

There should be no problem getting through the wait list when these babies start being available in about 7 weeks, especially when counting the babies that are still in the nest. So anyone who might be interested in a baby send me a message to let me know and I can contact you when some are available to be picked from.

The Turquoise Conure babies are almost ready! Well, two pure turquoise, one pineapple turquoise, and one yellow sided with the turquoise gene. Wonderful blue and green colors, with the pink tail feathers!

These guys are getting very close to weaning, already strong flyers...

Catching up on some of the handfeeding videos, so many babies going into handfeeding right now, takes me a while to settle in to the old routine and then catch up.

A peek into the brooders - So many babies already! The season is just starting, and the first of the babies are now in the brooders! This season there will be cockatiels, quakers, a ringneck, conures of all colors, a linnie and of course budgies! The first of these babies will be ready in 6 to 7 weeks, so let me know if you would like to be added to any of the notification / wait lists. There will also be a big round of rescue adoptions beginning late October and going into November, so check back in for updates, pictures, videos and articles on that. There will also be a related addition to the "What Bird is Right for Me? video series, focusing on handfed babies vs. adult rescues, coming out in just a few days.
