Today is International Cat Day!

That’s a day staff at Kinsol can get behind! We celebrate cats everyday, but give us a day to officially express our love and we get excited.

So do our clients! Earlier this week Jennifer visited Kinsol with count them… FOUR rescue cats. These kitties travel in style and really hit the family jackpot.

🚨BIG NEWS AT KINSOL!🚨

Kinsol Vet is super excited to be partnering with Animal Health Link to offer live after-hours professional support for our patients!

This is a NO COST service to our valued clients to help in times of distress with your pets. Highly trained and qualified Registered Veterinary Technicians will be available to help you determine if emergency care is truly needed when the clinic is closed, and to direct you where to go if necessary.

All you need to do is phone the clinic after hours at 250-929-5888 and you will be connected with an RVT.

July 10, 2026 was National Kitten Day, and although we are one day late we didn’t want to pass up on the opportunity to share about our love for kittens.

National Kitten Day was created to honour young cats and advocate for their welfare. (But also who doesn’t want an official day to celebrate and share videos of these cuties).

We wanted to use this opportunity to shout out all of the wonderful rescues and their volunteers, especially those right here on Vancouver Island, who pour their hearts into their work in order to care for all the cats and kittens in need.

Last night Kinsol staff were celebrated at .

Some staff enjoyed the wood burning sauna and cold plunge spa, while others sat fire side and chatted the evening away.

No matter which option a wonderful evening was had amongst the trees, surrounded by friends and enjoying tasty food from .

We discovered a few staff at Kinsol are rather competitive, no matter the challenge…

Well everyone, it’s time again for another round of Guess that Breed!

Meet Freddy. Despite their name this breed was believed to have originated from China or Korea and later given as a gift to nobility in another country. (We can’t say which company because that’s too big of a hint).
Much like cats, these guys are well known to be incredible climbers, and it wouldn’t be surprising to find them perched high up on vantage points in your home.
