Shout out to Foster Kritters Feral Cat Rescue for taking on Mom and 4 kittens trapped at Dr Rachel's property on Mt Tzouhalem. This organization does great work! Please consider supporting them by donating cat food, supplies or helping foster these forgotten kitties.

Cats should consume approximately 1/2 cup of water for every 2.27 kg or 5 lbs of lean bodyweight per day.

Cats eating only dry food should drink more water.

Feeding wet food or adding water or plain broth to dry food is a good way to increase water intake.

Signs of dehydration include - lethargy, weakness, poor appetite, a skin tent, sunken eyes, and dry gums.

A common cause of dehydration in cats are diseases that cause increased water loss: chronic kidney disease, diabetes, diarrhea & vomiting, hyperthyroidism.

Contact your vet right away if you suspect your cat is dehydrated as we can help!
