Does it get any better than fall riding in the Annapolis Valley? 🍂🐴

A few of our Willow & Withers riders hit the trails yesterday, with the North Mountain putting on quite a show in the background.

Beautiful horses, good company and scenery like this. These are the days we wish would last just a little longer. ❤️

Who's been making the most of these gorgeous fall riding days?

What a day! 🐴❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Tack Sale & Open House at Willow & Withers today!

There was plenty of tack bought, sold and traded, lots of familiar faces, some new ones, and more than a few good laughs along the way.

Days like today remind us just how wonderful our horse community is. It's about so much more than saddles, bridles and boots. It's about the friendships, the shared stories and the connections that bring us together.

A special thank you to all our vendors for bringing such a great selection of treasures, and to everyone who came out to browse, shop, visit and support the event.
And because so many of you asked… YES, we'll do it again! 🎉 We're thinking spring might be the perfect time for another Tack Sale & Open House.

Be sure to follow our page for updates and details as plans come together.
We loved having you here! ❤️

🐴 What happens when we take the horse out of the equation?

We get a chance to focus entirely on the rider.

No worrying about what the horse might do next. No trying to figure out whether a movement came from you or your horse.

Just you, your seat, your balance, and an opportunity to discover more about how you ride.

At Will-oh!, our Initial Assessment includes a two-minute assessment that captures information about your seat balance, rein pressure and leg stability across different gaits.

But the numbers are only part of the story.

We use that information, along with a coached riding session, to help you explore what you're feeling, recognize patterns, and discover what you might want to work on.
You don't have to be a dressage rider. You don't have to be competing. You just have to be curious about your riding.

🎨 MORE THAN JUST TACK THIS SATURDAY!

We're excited to give a little shout-out to local artist Second Sight Art, who will be joining us at our Tack Sale & Open House this weekend!

Sean is part of our little Willow & Withers community, and he creates some wonderfully whimsical art using buoys, wood, paint and all sorts of imaginative details.

From colourful critters and quirky characters to a guitar-playing musician and a rather fabulous sheep, his creations are guaranteed to make you smile!

Sean will have a selection of his artwork available at the sale, so be sure to stop by, say hello and check out his work.

And that's part of what makes Saturday fun — it's not just about tack! Come browse, meet some local folks, discover something unexpected and pop in to see Will-oh! in action.

Can something as simple as tapping change the way you move? 🤔

During my recent Train Your Seat course in the UK, I tried an exercise that was surprisingly interesting.

A few moments of tapping with textured Franklin balls, followed by a simple movement check-in.

What caught my attention wasn't just what I felt afterward. It was the reminder that sometimes, before we can change how we move, we need to become more aware of what we're doing.

I've written a new blog exploring tapping, proprioception, and what this might mean for riders.

🐴 Read it here: https://hubs.ly/Q04zRLTj0

Discover how simple exercises like tapping can enhance your riding awareness and movement, leading to a more effective and intuitive riding experience.
