Didsbury Vet accomodates both small and large animals and is currently accepting new patients. Emergency care is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week, just call the clinic number and you will be directed to the on call veterinarian.

🐾 This includes all you pet moms too! 🐶

We often think we have a tough job here at DVS but the truth is, there is no harder job than being a mom. They work tirelessly for us, often without thanks. They keep us safe, give us space to learn, and always put us before themselves. They are dedicated, nurturing, empathetic, and above all else, they give you a love you’ll never have from anyone else.

🫶 We have so much gratitude for our own moms that we’d like to extend the love and hugs from all of us here at the clinic. Take the time to spend it with your mom today and remind her just how appreciated she is (and tell her to take a load off, you know she’s tired)!

👋 Caith is a local here in Didsbury and many of you may already know him! He is a husband and father and very active in the community. We have been waiting patiently for him to finish vet school and the time has finally come! So you will certainly be seeing more of him around the clinic.

‼️ Unfortunately fleas and ticks are something we can see year round however, this time of year is when we start to see higher numbers of flea and tick cases.

🤔 A lot of people don’t know what some of these preventions are for or why we ask you so many questions to determine what we are sending home for your pet.

🐾 There are many determining factors for our veterinarians to consider when sending home prevention for your pet. This week we honour our incredible veterinary receptionists. The people you see when you first walk in our doors, the ones you talk to on the phone, the ones who make you feel welcomed and appreciated. We feel so fortunate here at DVS to have such an incredible team of ladies that carry us through each and every day.

🫶 The women here are not only kind and welcoming, they are empathetic, organized, and some of the most intelligent and inspiring women we have ever had the privilege to work with.

♥️ We will take this week to highlight these women and remind them just how appreciated they are!
