🍂 Cooler weather doesn’t mean flea and tick season is over! 🐾

Ticks can remain active on mild fall days, while fleas can survive comfortably inside heated homes throughout the winter.

Help protect your pet by:

🔍 Checking their skin and coat after time outdoors
🍃 Paying close attention after walks through tall grass, leaves and wooded areas
🧺 Washing pet bedding regularly
💊 Continuing veterinarian-recommended parasite prevention

Not sure how long your pet should remain on prevention? Contact us we can help you choose the safest option for your pet. 🐶🐱

🐱 Why does my cat make biscuits? 🍞

That adorable kneading behaviour starts when cats are tiny kittens. Kittens knead around their mother's mammary glands while nursing.

Many cats continue the behaviour as adults when they're feeling comfortable and content.

Cats may knead because they're:

❤️ Relaxed and happy
🐾 Making a comfy place to lie down
🐾 Stretching their muscles
🐾 Leaving their scent from glands in their paws

Some cats purr, drool or even suck on blankets while doing it.

So when your cat climbs onto your lap and starts making biscuits with ALL 18 claws…

Congratulations. You've been chosen as the bakery. 😂

🔎 Does your pet's microchip have GPS?

Nope!

A microchip doesn't track your pet's location and it doesn't contain their entire medical history.

It's a tiny identification chip with a unique number. When a veterinary clinic or shelter scans it, that number can be used to find the owner's contact information through the appropriate microchip registry.

But there's a catch…

📱 A microchip is only useful if the contact information attached to it is CURRENT.

Moved recently? Changed your phone number? Got a new email address?

Take a few minutes to check your pet's microchip registration and make sure everything is up to date.

🐾 A microchip can't tell you where your lost pet is — but it can help the person who finds them get them back home. ❤️

🐾 We know your pet is weird. Tell us HOW weird. 😂

Maybe your dog has to spin exactly three times before lying down.

Maybe your cat screams at you because they can see the bottom of the food bowl.

Maybe they sleep somewhere that makes absolutely no sense.

👇 Tell us your pet's weirdest habit in the comments!

Photos as evidence are highly encouraged. 😂📸
