Good Hound Training & Daycare Two Ladner locations offering R+ Training, dog daycare, dog boarding, cat boarding and pet first aid Andrew is truly passionate about his work with dogs.

Good Hound Training & Daycareis owned and operated by Mallory and Andrew Richards. Andrew is a certified dog trainer through the Animal Behaviour Collage and plenty of experience with all breeds of dogs through working with various shelters and his own rescue foster dogs. He believes in and practices positive reinforcement training. This method is treat and praise based and does not use fear or pain to train a dog. A dog should do a behaviour because they want to, not because they are afraid if they don't! Andrew will create a training plan that is tailored around your dogs unique needs. His goal is to create a fun and enjoyable experience for you and your dog. Further, he aims to not only produce well trained and happy dogs, but to reinforce the bond between owner and dog as well as to create a clear form of communication between the two. Andrew enjoys teaches basic obedience but he also loves helping dogs with behavioural issues. That is where he makes the most difference as helping families work through their dog's behavioural issues helps keeps dogs out of shelters and in their forever homes. Mallory handles the books and is the training centre's go to for dog nutritional advice! Andrew and Mallory are also certified in Pet First Aid through Walks n Wags

Everyone please join us in celebrating our sweet Cosmo’s 2nd birthday! Cosmo may be a little guy, but he has a BIG personality and an even bigger heart! He’s always a happy guy, ready to run around with his friends, get the handlers’ attention for some extra snuggles, or patiently wait for a tasty treat. Cosmo is everyone’s friend and never fails to bring a little extra joy to our days. We absolutely adore having this sweet boy as part of our Good Hound family! Happy birthday, Cosmo!

Everyone please join us in celebrating our sweet, sweet Dixie girl’s birthday! Dixie is an OG at Good Hound, and over the years, she has become such a special part of our daycare family. Watching her grow into the goofy girl she is today has been such a blessing! Whether she’s racing through the tunnels at high speed, cuddling with her handlers, snoozing on the comfy beds, or making new friends at daycare, Dixie never fails to put a smile on all of our faces. She truly is one special girl, and we’re so happy we got to celebrate her today! Happy birthday, Dixie! We love you!

Hello everyone!! 💗🐾

I am SO excited to see you all at trick training! Some of you may remember me from daycare, where I spent my days playing with your wonderful pups, or even from the Vet down the road! I’ve been training dogs for a while now, and I am beyond excited to be back and teaching a Tricks class!

A little bit about me! My name is Clhoie, and I have the sweetest little angel named Beretta! Who you’ll get to meet at class! We’ve been exploring the world of dog sports, including Barn Hunt, Shed Hunt, Nosework, and of course, Trick Training! With Beretta still being just a puppy, we have so many more exciting adventures ahead of us! 🐶✨

I can’t wait to welcome everyone to class, reconnect with familiar faces, and meet some new ones along the way! My goal is to create a fun, positive, and encouraging environment where you and your pups can learn new skills, build confidence, and strengthen your bond together.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all soon and making this a wonderful class filled with learning, laughter, and lots of wagging tails! 💗🐾
