After almost 9 wonderful years, Paws and Biscuits is evolving. โค๏ธ
With that comes a bittersweet goodbye to the biggest part of our business: dog walking. Our last dog walk will be Thursday, November 12, 2026.
This business has been such a huge part of my life, and saying goodbye to walking your dogs is not an easy decision. I'm incredibly grateful for every dog I've had the privilege of loving and spending my days with and every family who has trusted me with their care.
But while dog walking is coming to an end, Paws and Biscuits isn't going anywhere. We're just taking on a new form...
While I'm sad to be ending dog walking, I'm excited to move toward Family Dog Mediation, and help families and their dogs build better lives together. This will include supporting newly adopted rescue dogs as they acclimatise to their new homes, helping their families navigate the transition, and offering sensory experiences and enrichment outlets for dogs... and cats! Yes, we'll be expanding our repertoire in the coming months! ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›๏ธ
Our approach will go beyond obedience training to look at the bigger picture of canine (and feline) welfare. We'll explore the pillars that help dogs (and cats) thrive, including enrichment, decompression, management, and understanding the individual needs of each dog and family. Always using force-free methods, of course.
My passion has always been about improving dogs' (and now cats) lives and helping them stay in the homes they belong in. This next chapter is an opportunity to continue doing that in a different way.
Here's to the next chapter of Paws and Biscuits. Thank you for being part of the journey so far. ๐Ÿพ
We'll miss our walks with your beautiful dogs. I'll never forget the amazing times we've had together. โค๏ธ

Happy Retirement, Kamik!! ๐Ÿพ
For the last 3 years, Kamik has made our walks incredibly entertaining and fun. Never have I been more fascinated by a dog in all my life than I have by Kamik. She embodies both of her breeds (Karelian Bear Dog ร— Siberian Husky) perfectly. She is fearless, independent, and WILD.
Over the years, Kamik has proven time and time again that she is the wildest dog. We've seen her chase ground hogs, keep up with deer, and once she caught a rabbit....This is what I mean by fascinating. She kept things interesting. You never knew what was going to happen on a group walk when Kamik was there.
When she wasn't chasing wildlife or independently wandering up ahead she could be found playing with her besties- namely, Ducky, Buddha, Cam, Preston, and Edith. She played a great game of chase, and wrestled like it was her job. If I could have made all her walks snowy ones, I would have. She just loved rolling around with her pals in the snow.
In the car, Kamik was a backseat driver on the way to the trail, peering over my shoulder, ensuring we took all the right turns. If she wasn't peering over my shoulder she was resting her head on top of mine. ๐Ÿ˜‚ But on the way home? She was a passenger princess. The AC had to be cranked, even in the dead of winter, and pointed toward her. Her head was always positioned on the arm rest so that when both hands weren't on the wheel, at least one would be available for scritches. I think that's what I'm going to miss most. ๐Ÿ’›
I'll miss the sound of your bear bell zipping around the woods, the nose prints all over my windshield, and your super special snuggs that were only allowed in the car. ๐Ÿ˜‚
We love you so much Kammi Girl. We'll miss you endlessly but look forward to your visits. Thank dog for that! ๐Ÿพ

Missing our buddy Preston lots these days. This clip was taken on one of our last walks. Preston loved the water. We would often find him swimming or simply enjoying the water. He was so content. Thinking of Preston reminds me to take time and be present. Slow down, take it all in, and appreciate what you have. โ™ฅ๏ธ
We miss you, pal. Hope you're running wild and pain-free somewhere.

WE love love love to see these client updates! ๐Ÿพ
Poor Sky was experiencing some reactivity in the backyard after new neighbours moved in. We were able to come up with a plan to help Sky and his family regulate those big emotions. And now we're seeing their hard work payoff! What a win!
Well done, Sky, and his people!

The last few weeks of August were definitely a struggle with the high humidity, limited water access, mosquitos, and wasps. Hoping we're on the up swing and cooler weather is just around the corner. We've had enough of summer's problems. Bring on dog chases on cool day, fluorescent visibility, and the smell of crisp autumn air!
