Urgent care is provided for illness or injuries which require prompt, same day attention but are not necessarily of a life or death nature. Covid -19 created a steep increase in pet ownership - this, combined with a worldwide shortage of veterinarians and support staff, has illustrated a concerning gap in urgent available veterinary care. Many hospitals have full appointments providing daily preve

ntive care ( vaccines, wellness exams, dietary consults, and all of the things that go into keeping your pet happy and healthy) and accessing an urgent visit can be a challenge. At Penhorn Animal Hospital, we work with your family veterinary team to ensure that your pet receives fast, same day appointments for conditions that just can't wait. At Penhorn Animal Hospital, our staff love all animals. Of course we do! But in our secret heart of hearts we all have our particular favourite breeds or types...the ones that make our hearts thump especially loud 😊 For Peyton, that would be Dalmatians! Here's an update about Chester, Dr Marryatt's newest addition!

You may remember the post we shared several weeks ago, about Chester - a cat who had survived living in a landfill, and who subsequently found himself at Bide Awhile Animal Shelter. Chester needed a special home to help him adapt to life as a cared for and loved kitty. Lucky for him, our very own Dr Marryatt happened to feel those tugs on her heartstrings and pretty soon they embarked on a whole new adventure together!

Chester has embraced the life of luxury. He now gets to do all the things that were never possible before...relax, play, and let his guard down. And with that his little personality has blossomed! It didn't happen overnight, but with patience Chester has realized that he is safe, secure and loved ❤️ A complete success story!

Just look at the gorgeous colours on Mia!! Mia visited Penhorn Animal Hospital for an annual examination and vaccines.
