God gifted cowgirls a love for horses that’s hard to put into words. 🤎

It’s in the early mornings, the dusty jeans, the long days and the quiet moments spent between a horse’s ears. It’s in the wins that make you feel ten feet tall and the hard days that humble you right back down.

Horses have a way of reminding us that we never truly stop learning.

Every single horse that comes into our lives has something different to teach us — patience, softness, timing, confidence, forgiveness, trust. Some challenge everything we thought we knew. Some make us question ourselves. Some give us the breakthrough we desperately needed. And some simply stand beside us on the days when we need them most.

There are highs that make your heart burst and lows that bring you to tears. Rides where everything comes together, and rides where nothing seems to. Horses that test you, horses that heal pieces of you, and horses that forever change the way you ride, think and live.

And through it all, we keep showing up.

We listen a little better.
We soften our hands.
We learn from our mistakes.
We celebrate the smallest victories.
And we become better horsewomen because of them.

The beautiful thing about this life is knowing there will never be a day when we know it all. There will always be another horse to learn from, another lesson to be humbled by, and another reason to fall in love with it all over again.

God gifted cowgirls horses… and somehow, through loving them, they continue to teach us more about ourselves every single day.

IMPORTANT BOOKING UPDATE FROM SPUR VALLEY HORSES 🤎

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support we’ve received this season! With the high volume of bookings and inquiries, our little ranch has been BUSY. 🐴

Because we are off-grid and often have limited or no cell service on the ranch, calls and messages to our business phone can unfortunately be delayed or missed.

📧 For the quickest and most reliable response, we highly encourage all of our valued customers to book through our website or EMAIL us directly.

This season has also been a huge year of growth and learning for us. We’ve learned so much about what works, what needs improving, and how we can better serve our customers while continuing to provide the personal experiences we’re so proud of.

Please know we will be making several adjustments behind the scenes for next season to make booking, communication and your overall experience with us even smoother.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Unfortunately, due to the ongoing poor air quality and smoke in our area, we have been advised to shut down trail rides and lessons for the remainder of this week. 🤍

We are deeply sorry to everyone who has been looking forward to their time in the saddle with us. We know some of these rides have been planned for weeks or are a special part of your time in the Kootenays, and please know this decision was not made lightly.

As disappointing as it is, we simply cannot justify asking our horses to work in these conditions. They give so much to us throughout our season, and right now it’s our responsibility to put their health… along with the health of our guests, students and staff FIRST.

Our Kids Camp & Spirit Ride will remain active and go ahead as scheduled. 🤍 We will be adjusting activities as needed to keep both our campers and horses safe, with lighter riding and plenty of fun, low-exertion horsemanship and ranch activities.

We will be reaching out to everyone booked for trail rides and lessons this week to reschedule. Trail ride deposits can also be fully refunded if rescheduling isn’t possible.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and continued support through this smoky stretch. We truly can’t wait to get everyone back in the saddle as soon as it’s safe. 🐴
