Brookdale Animal Hospital will be OPEN on Monday, August 3rd (Civic Holiday) during our regular business hours.

Whether your pet needs a wellness exam, vaccinations, medical care, or you're facing an unexpected concern, our team is here to help.

Our clinic will be closed on Saturday, June 27, 2026, as our team will be attending the Dog Mania Event. We are excited to participate in this community event and look forward to seeing many of you there!

We would also like to remind our clients that we will be open on Canada Day (July 1st) to continue providing care for your pets, even during the holiday.

Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in our team. We remain committed to being available for your pets when they need us most.

Diesel has a bad repetitive behaviour of getting in the garbage which has resulted in multiple stomach issues. Earlier this week he started having bloody stool & nothing would help. I book with our regular vet and had a bad experience so we left and I immediately called this vet told them what was going on. I called around 11:10 & was able to get an appointment at 1230. The staff and vet were EXTREMELY kind and informative & supportive. The doctor gave multiple treatment plans that could work instead of only recommending the most expensive treatment. My dog had IV fluids, the staff was super nice, talked about her own GSD. I was out of there before 1:30. All together honestly reasonably priced considering it was an emergency. Can’t thank you enough! & so far so good 🤞 he’s actually eating his kibble and seems to have a little more alertness even on his meds 😂.

My husband and I recently experienced a distressing situation with our pet, Gizmo, who suffered from a severe respiratory issue. We had a scheduled veterinary appointment with our regular veterinarian on Tuesday for a check-up, and Gizmo was subsequently treated and discharged with antibiotics. However, by Thursday morning, Gizmo's condition had deteriorated significantly. Unfortunately, our regular veterinarian was unavailable to assist us and recommended that we consult another veterinarian in Cornwall. Fortunately, Brookdale Animal Hospital took us in immediately. Upon arrival, one of the staff members promptly attended to Gizmo, administering oxygen immediately. The attending doctor, who possesses 10 years of emergency experience, kept us informed and alleviated our concerns. We were advised to return home and await further instructions while the hospital conducted tests. Three hours later, we received clearance to bring Gizmo home. Once we returned, the doctor explained everything in detail, from the bloodwork to the x-rays. The hospital provided additional medication and scheduled a follow-up appointment in two weeks to monitor Gizmo's progress. We extend our sincere gratitude to the entire team for their exceptional kindness, professionalism, and expertise, which undoubtedly saved Gizmo's life. My apologies; I wish I had remembered all of your names.
