What a busy weekend for the dogs! 💜🐾

After taking some time off to raise her babies, Dezi was back in the show ring and clearly decided she hadn’t forgotten how this whole thing works!
At the Club Québécois du Chihuahua Specialty, she was awarded CKC Award of Merit under judge Shawn Nichols.
She then earned Select at the Mount Royal Toy Dog Fanciers Specialty under judge Wendy Paquette.
Dezi loved being back in the ring, and she showed like she had never left! Maybe motherhood has even improved her table manners a little. 😉😂
Lumière 🕯️
My first bred-by puppy to take into the show ring. 🥹💜
I honestly couldn't be prouder of this little girl. She is SO much fun to show, and watching her figuring out this whole dog show thing has been one of my favourite parts of her career.
At the all-breed show, Lumière was awarded Best Baby Puppy in Group under Tiina Taulos of Finland. From there she headed into the Best Baby Puppy in Show ring and gave it absolutely everything she had.
She didn't come away with the ribbon, but she showed her tail feathers off, had a blast, and left nothing behind. 😂 And honestly, that's exactly the kind of puppy I want to be out there with.
Then she went on to win Best Baby Puppy in Specialty under Shawn Nichols at the Club Québécois du Chihuahua Specialty, followed by another Best Baby Puppy in Specialty under Wendy Paquette at the Mount Royal Toy Dog Fanciers Specialty.
I'm so proud of how well my little girl has been received by the fancy, but even more than the ribbons, I love watching her have FUN. She's silly, she's full of herself, and she has already figured out that a dog show is apparently just another opportunity to entertain everyone. 😂
I'm pretty sure we're going to have a lot of fun with this one. 💜🐾
.And then there's Theo 🐿️
Theo only showed in the Club Québécois du Chihuahua Specialty, where he was Best Altered in Specialty.
But Theo's idea of a successful dog show weekend has very little to do with ribbons.
He got to strut around the ring, eat his boiled chicken, collect love and attention from Dad, and visit with all of his many fans, and believe me, Theo knows exactly who his fans are! 😂
As it turns out, he was celebrating his 4th birthday yesterday, so he had a pretty good excuse to spend the weekend being spoiled. 😉 He sees SO many people over the course of a show weekend, by the time he gets home he's completely exhausted from all that socializing, showing, snacking and snuggles!
Honestly, I think that's EXACTLY how Theo likes it. 💜
Three dogs, three very different show experiences, and one very tired Chihuahua mom coming home with a grateful heart. ♥️
