Our friends at Essence Medical made an incredibly generous donation for our open house tomorrow of a gift card for a hydrafacial! 🧖‍♀️
We have decided we will be selling tickets on this prize for $5 each or 5 for $20! All ticket purchases will be going to a local rescue for all the beautiful work they do 😻
We will also have door prizes from various local businesses - Danny’s Paw Prints, Megan Humphrey Yoga, Dominion and Coleman’s!

We are happy to share that Humber Vet now has body suits as an optional purchase after your pet's surgery! We, of course, still include a cone for all our spays and neuters, but some might prefer something else. They are light, stretchy, machine washable, and work for both cats and dogs. They might not fit humans, however... 😋

Meet Lucky — a tiny kitten with a very big second chance. 💙

Lucky was found wandering outside with a badly injured, painful eye. His rescuers brought him to Humber Veterinary Hospital, where it was determined that he needed emergency surgery to remove the eye.

With the unexpected cost weighing on his rescuers, Scaredy Cat Rescue Rescue stepped forward to help.

That very same evening, our team at Humber Veterinary Hospital performed Lucky’s surgery. Operating on such a tiny patient came with its challenges, but thankfully, everything went well. ❤️

Two weeks later, Lucky returned to the hospital to have his sutures removed — and what a difference we saw! He’s growing, healing beautifully, and most importantly, he’s comfortable and thriving.

His name is Lucky for a reason. 🍀

A huge thank-you to the kind people who stopped to help him, Shadow Rescue for stepping in when it mattered most, and everyone who played a part in giving this little guy the fresh start he deserved.

Sometimes, it takes a village to save a life. And Lucky’s village showed up. 🐱💙

If Lucky’s story touches your heart, consider supporting your local animal rescues like Scaredy Cat Rescue, Shadow Rescue, NL West SPCA, and Elder Dog Canada. Donations, fostering, volunteering, and simply sharing their stories can make an incredible difference for animals waiting for their second chance. ❤️
