Our veterinary clinic is a full-service animal hospital, providing preventative and expert care for dogs and cats. and the Coquitlam Animal Shelter.

Our goal is to work with you to ensure a long and healthy life for your family pet. When you come to our hospital you and your pet become a part of our family. We are commited to provide the highest quality veterinary care for our patients and the best possible service to our clients. Please do not hesitate to call or come in if you have a question about your pet. We will be happy to answer any qu

estions you may have and schedule an appointment if necessary. One of our clinic cats "Forrest" will also be waiting to greet you in reception if he is not to busy sleeping on warm laundry. Coquitlam Animal Hospital has been caring for pets in the Coquitlam area since 1978. We are conveniently located in west Coquitlam, but our clients come from all over the surrounding area. The hospital is located near the corner of Austin Avenue and Marmont Street, east of Lougheed Mall. (see map)

Our Hospital is pleased to offer services in English, Serbian and Cantonese. On full-time staff members is a Registered Animal Health Technician, who has been specially trained in monitoring anesthesia, among other medical - technical skills. All the members of the team keep up to date with continuing education seminars and courses. We are happy to offer the following services:

Please feel free to discuss your pets needs with our staff as we will be happy to make a wise choice for your pet. Pet Identification Program
--We are pleased to offer Micro-chipping for your pets as we believe this assists lost pets in being found. Please feel free to ask for detailed information on this simple procedure.
--Ear tattoo's are also available when you pet is under anesthetic for a spay or neuter. Certificates Accepted
--We are pleased to accept certificates from both the S.P.C.A. Call for more detailed information.

We’ve taken a close look at how and when our clients need us most, and are making some updates to our hours so we can continue providing the best possible care.

✨ New Hours (Effective Immediately):

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Tuesday & Friday (Late Clinic): 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (for urgent and emergency appointments only)

By focusing our late evening appointments on Tuesdays and Fridays and offering Sunday emergency care, we can better align with our clients’ busiest times while ensuring our team is rested, supported, and able to give every patient the compassionate care they deserve.

Happy Friday Everyone!

We wanted to inform you of a temporary change in our hours this week due to hospital renovations and improvements. Additionally, Dr. Paunovic will be out of the office from March 25th - March 28th.

Our adjusted hours are as follows:
🕒 Saturday, March 22nd – Closing early at 3:30 PM
🚪 Sunday, March 23rd – Closed
⏰ Monday, March 24th - Friday, March 28th – Open 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

We will resume our regular hours on Saturday, March 29th.
