Last but certainly not least, we're celebrating Dr. Emily deCardenas for Veterinary Appreciation Day!

As the newest addition to our veterinary team at CBS Animal Hospital, Dr. Emily has already made a wonderful impression on both clients and colleagues alike. Dedicated to animal health and wellness, she has a special interest in surgery and dental care and is passionate about helping pets live happy, healthy lives.

Outside the clinic, Emily is the proud mom of an adorable two-year-old and a proud vegan. Having recently moved to Newfoundland from the United States, she is enjoying exploring everything our beautiful province has to offer.

We are so grateful to have Dr. Emily as part of our team and look forward to all the lives she'll touch in the years to come. Happy Veterinary Appreciation Day, Dr. Emily!

Today we're celebrating Dr. Agnes Pillai! Since joining CBS Animal Hospital as a locum veterinarian in 2025, Dr. Pillai has quickly become a beloved part of our team. Known for her positive attitude, warm personality, and contagious laughter, she brings kindness, compassion, and a sense of fun to every day.

As a Fear Free Certified veterinarian, Dr. Pillai is dedicated to making veterinary visits as comfortable and stress-free as possible for both pets and their people. Her special areas of interest include critical care and ophthalmology, and she is passionate about providing exceptional care to every patient she sees.

When she's not at the hospital, she enjoys hiking, reading, and trying new foods.

"Where's Gloria?" has become one of our most frequently asked questions. 👑🐱

Good news: she's still employed, she's just on her own schedule these days.

When she's not at the clinic, Gloria spends her time at home with our CSR, Kris, where she enjoys sunbathing on the catio, supervising the neighbourhood, napping in an actual bed, and embracing the luxurious lifestyle she deserves. ✨🛏️☀️

Some cats retire. Gloria simply negotiated a better work-life balance. 🤍
