We are so honoured to have our story shared by CBC News today. 🥰
This project has always been about more than just opening a clinic—it’s about providing a safety net for our Comox Valley and North Island neighbors so no one has to make that stressful drive south in a crisis. Thank you to Maryse Zeidler for helping us share our vision for Canvas Vet!

A new veterinary service offering urgent care on evenings and weekends is slated to open in Comox, filling what many pet owners say is a critical gap for care north of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.

Exciting news for the Vancouver Island Veterinary Community! 🐾
It’s taken a year of searching for the perfect spot, but we are thrilled to finally share that Canvas Veterinary Centre is officially coming to Comox!

We are currently in the process of creating a 5,500 sq. ft. purpose-built Urgent Care Centre. Our mission is to work with our local clinics: providing dedicated after-hours, weekend, and holiday support for the Valley and surrounding regions.

🤝 Culture-First: We’re building this with a focus on sustainable workflow, mental health, and the art of what we do.

🕒 Opening December 2026: It’s a journey, and we’re still building.

​A little "pardon our dust" note: we’ve attached an initial concept peek to give you a feel of our vibe. Our design team is currently working on the final look, but we couldn’t wait any longer to start connecting with our peers!
