A first visit and a little feline charm! 🐾

Dr. Clarissa and Charlene were delighted to welcome Gremlin for his first visit to Collingwood Veterinary Services. Dr. Clarissa has a soft spot for cats and a special interest in feline medicine, so meeting a new whiskered friend is always a highlight of her day.

We always enjoy our feline visits and look forward to seeing you again, Gremlin! ❤️

When you’re a dog mom and an RVT, you’re never too busy for a little bedside company. ❤️

That’s Chantelle, one of our amazing Registered Veterinary Technicians at Collingwood Veterinary Services.

October is Registered Veterinary Technician Month, and this photo captures the heart behind the job. But there’s a whole lot of skill behind those scrubs, too.

RVTs monitor anesthesia, assist in surgery, take X-rays, run lab tests, administer treatments and nurse patients through recovery. They can be tracking vital signs one minute and convincing a sick patient to eat the next.

It takes a sharp mind, steady hands and a soft spot for animals. Chantelle has all three.

Happy RVT Month to all RVTs! We appreciate everything you do, from the technical work to the moments on the floor. 🐾

Happy October 1st! 🍂🧁 🎃Pumpkin spice season is here, and who can resist carrot cake cupcakes and cookies this time of year?

A lovely thank-you from Pluto’s family to Dr. Autumn and our Collingwood Veterinary Services team made our day a little sweeter. We have such thoughtful clients, and knowing our care is appreciated means so much. 🧡

But the best part? The photo caption: “Pluto enjoying the sun in his Steve Jobs recovery onesie.” 😂 Recovering from surgery, but clearly ready to unveil the next iPhone. 🐾📱

🐾 Meet Gus, our September Pet of the Month at Collingwood Veterinary Services! 🐾

With his stunning eyes and handsome black coat, Gus has certainly caught our attention! 🖤 His family shared this lovely peek into life with Gus and his brother Joey:

“Gus is a curious little scaredy cat who loves doing everything with his brother Joey! He loves Zoomies, his pizza stuffy, and running up his cat tree as fast as he can. Meal time often means singing a chorus to try and hurry up mom and dad.

He also has a profound love for boxes, no matter the size. If there is a delivery, you can bet that box will be on the ground and within minutes he will sit in it.

Dad is his favourite human. Gus will greet him everyday when he comes home from work, and ask to play catch with his spring toys.

Gus is the least photogenic of the two cats, often looking scared or shocked, but we think he is one of the cutest cats you will ever meet.

Gus and Joey are well loved, and we thank Collingwood Vet for helping our boys whenever they needed it. ❤️❤️🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛”

Thank you to Gus’s family for sharing his adventures and trusting us with both boys’ care. We’re delighted to give this sweet boy his moment in the spotlight! 💙

A special delivery has arrived at Collingwood Veterinary Services! 📦🐾

Cody is helping us get ready to fundraise for the Farley Foundation, a charity that helps people with limited income in Ontario access essential veterinary care for their pets.

Our staff will be taking part in a 5 km run/walk with Collingwood Active Pets Rehabilitation & Hydrotherapy at Mountain Vista Veterinary Hospital. We’re excited to come together for pets and the people who love them.

Stay tuned to learn how you can support the Farley Foundation this coming month! 💙

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Cindy Lennox to Collingwood Veterinary Services! 🐾

Dr. Lennox has called this region home for many years and has cared for local pets for more than 25 years. She brings a deep understanding of our community, decades of experience, and a calm, kind approach to the care she provides.

Dr. Lennox has extensive experience in medicine, surgery, and dental care, as well as a special interest in ophthalmology. She’s looking forward to working alongside Dr. Autumn and Dr. Clarissa and the CVS team, and we’re looking forward to introducing her to you.

Outside the clinic, she loves cheering on her son and grandchildren at their sporting events, as well as biking, hiking, and cross-country skiing.

Please join us in giving Dr. Lennox a warm CVS welcome! 💙

Pretty in Pink and Celebrating One Year 🩷

Natalie is pretty in pink as we celebrate her first anniversary with Collingwood Veterinary Services!

You may have seen Natalie around the clinic in her role as a veterinary assistant. Over the past year, she has become an important part of our team while pursuing her Veterinary Technician Associate Degree through Penn Foster’s remote program. 📚

This flexible program allows students to continue working in a veterinary clinic while completing remote coursework, developing practical skills and participating in supervised clinical externships. It is an excellent option for those who want to gain valuable hands-on experience while completing the education required to work toward becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. 🩺

Congratulations on one year, Natalie! We appreciate everything you bring to our team and look forward to watching you continue your studies and work toward becoming an RVT.
