Georgian Triangle Humane Society The GTHS is a not-for-profit charity in the South Georgian Bay area. Animal Centre in Collingwood, Ontario serving the Georgian Triangle area.

Our mission is to deliver innovative programs, such as dog training and humane education courses, and compassionate services that enhance the lives of pets of people. The Georgian Triangle Humane Society’s social media team works diligently to post accurate, timely, relevant content. 📢 Service Update

Please note that the Georgian Triangle Humane Society Animal Centre will be closing today, June 24, at 3:00 PM for our Annual General Meeting.

We will also be closed all day on Thursday, June 25 for a staff meeting. Please note that adoptions will not be available tomorrow.

We will resume our regular operating hours on Friday.

Meet our Pet of the Week, Roxy 💙

After 155 days in our care, Roxy is still waiting for someone to discover what her foster family already knows: she's an incredible dog with a whole lot of love to give.

This 2-year-old mixed breed is equal parts adventure buddy, couch companion, and professional shadow. If you're moving, Roxy wants to know where you're going. If you're sitting down, she's already claimed the spot beside you.

Like many dogs, Roxy can take a little time to warm up to new people. But once she feels comfortable, her playful personality and affectionate nature shine through. She's made tremendous progress in foster care and continues to thrive with structure, routine, and positive reinforcement.

Roxy is looking for a home where she can be the only pet and would do best with teens aged 13 and up. In return, she'll offer unwavering loyalty, plenty of laughs, and a best friend who's always happy to see you.

As part of our Special Paws Program, Roxy's adoption fee is $100 and includes resources to help support her ongoing success.

At Georgian Triangle Humane Society Youth Programs, children build compassion, confidence, and empathy through meaningful experiences with animals.

From animal interactions and creative activities to lessons in kindness and respect, every day is designed to inspire the next generation of animal advocates.
Camp runs Monday to Friday, July 13th to July 31st.

Some dogs just need a little more time for their stories to be discovered.

Meet Francesca and Finn, two incredible dogs who have been patiently waiting for the right families to find them.

Francesca, a 3-year-old fluffy sweetheart, has been waiting nearly 100 days. While she may be shy at first, once she trusts you, she forms deep bonds and loves nothing more than sharing quiet cuddles and quality time with her people.

Finn, a 5-year-old mixed breed, has been waiting 75 days. Calm, observant, and thoughtful, he thrives in a predictable environment where he can build trust at his own pace. His loyal and loving personality shines brightest when he feels safe and understood.

Both Francesca and Finn are looking for patient adopters who appreciate that meaningful relationships take time to grow. With positive reinforcement, structure, and understanding, these deserving dogs have so much love to give.
