Meet Pandora, the GTHS Pet of the Week!

Pandora is almost 3 years old and has been waiting at the GTHS for more than 50 days. This clever, high-energy girl is happiest when she has a job to do, a tasty treat to earn, and a favourite human to learn alongside.

Pandora can be cautious about meeting new people, but with patient introductions she has made great progress – and friends – during her time with the GTHS. She enjoys going on walks and meeting other dogs. She tends to play hard, but she is learning to match the play style of her buddy. If there is another dog in the home, please bring them with you for a proper meet-and-greet.

One thing to know? Pandora considers herself to be an expert escape artist. She has been known to scale fences up to 8 feet high, so it’s critical that she finds a family who takes security very seriously and understands that an ordinary fence or gate will not be a challenge for Pandora.

Pandora is looking for a family that can keep her safe and secure, challenge her clever mind, and give her the time she needs to thrive. Because of her size, Pandora would do best with kids ages 8 and older. She hasn’t met a cat yet. October is Adopt A Shelter Dog Month, and our adult dogs have a reduced adoption rate until the end of the month.

HAPPY TAILS – Maple

Maple has been doing great; she warmed up to me right away and would sleep cuddled beside me all night. She was very shy and scared with my parents in the home but has warmed up great to them now. I am so glad I adopted this cuddle bug.
