One of the best parts of this work is hearing how things are going at home. 💙

Thank you to the clients who share their progress and take the time to leave a review.

If you’ve trained with Urban K9, what’s one everyday thing that feels easier now?

Cooler weather, fall colours, and a walk with the dogs. 🍂🐾

Sometimes the best part of training is getting to enjoy the everyday things together.

Where’s your favourite local spot for an autumn walk?

A little look at yesterday’s class at Urban K9! 🐾

Dogs and humans learning together—practising the basics, working around distractions, and building skills for everyday life.

Well done to everyone who came out! 💙

always oversize a ball,

Today for National Fetch Day, we wanted to highlight ball-safety. One of the biggest risks during play is using a ball that's too small for your dog, which poses a serious choking hazard! Check out the infographic to help you determine the correct ball size for your dog and keep fetch safe!

Just another day with the Urban K9 crew! 🐾💙

A little exploring, a little playtime, some furry friendships, and lots of personality!

At Urban K9, daycare is about more than just play. We believe in balancing fun, structure, and downtime.

There’s value in the quiet moments. 💙

Helping a dog learn to settle is an important part of our training. We make room for rest, build predictable routines, and practise taking a pause without something always happening.

Being still doesn’t always mean a dog feels relaxed—we pay attention to their body language and work at their pace.

These small moments are part of building a calmer everyday life, together.

💙🐾 **MEET THE DOG BEHIND THE URBAN K9 LOGO!**

Did you know the Doberman in our Urban K9 logo is actually a very special dog named Magnum?

Magnum is the dog who started it all. He's the reason I became interested in understanding dog behaviour and training. What started as wanting to learn more about my own dog eventually turned into a passion, a career, and the business you know today as Urban K9.

Although Magnum passed away many years ago, he's still a part of Urban K9 every single day. His face is our logo, and his legacy continues through every dog I have the opportunity to work with.

A little while ago, I entered Magnum in Cesar Millan's My Dog, My Inspiration contest, and I'm excited to share that he's made it all the way to Round 4 — the Top 5 in his group! We're currently sitting in FIRST PLACE!🎉

Now I'm asking Team Urban K9 for a little help keeping him there!

❤️ Voting is completely FREE! When you click the voting link, scroll down past the paid voting options to find the FREE VOTE at the bottom.

You can cast one free vote per round, even if you've voted in a previous round, and votes carry forward as he advances.
