đđž Please keep your dogs at home tonight. đžđ
No dog wants to be near fireworks.
Every year I see dogs out at fireworks displays, and the next day my feed is full of heartbreaking posts saying, âMy dog ran away.â
Fireworks can be terrifying for dogs. Even the most well-trained, confident dog can panic, slip a collar, jump a fence, or pull away from a leash when startled.
Please keep your dogs safely secured inside tonight.
A few things that can help:
đž Give them a bone, stuffed Kong, or chew to keep them busy.
đž Turn on the TV, music, fans, or a sound machine to help drown out the noise.
đž Create a safe, quiet space where they feel secure.
đž Stay calm and act normal so they can take their cues from you.
Please do not leave your dog outside tonight, even on a leash or in a fenced yard.
One night of inconvenience is worth avoiding the panic, heartbreak, and danger of a lost dog.
Keep them safe. They depend on you. â¤ď¸
