After three days working intermittently with Ravy she no longer needs to be tethered to the treadmill in any way.
Some dogs take less time others much more.
My mastiff was a 6 month challenge to get him to stroll on the treadmill.

I feel treadmill training can be a vital supplement to the daily walk.

You can use the same treadmill for yourself, as a matter of fact if you have a smaller dog you can use the treadmill together.

The first thing I want a dog to learn is "I lead" and "you follow". Once a dog learns this basic obedience lesson you quite literally have him in your pocket. 😀

Hello. Up to this time I had truly believed every dog was trainable with the appropriate inputs.
I was wrong.
My newest dog in the middle of the picture is a Large Headed Dum Koph. These dogs are noted for both their stubbornness and very forgetful nature. They tend to both sleep at night and nap often times during the day. They don't follow commands worth a darn and constantly display attitude.
If you were looking to get one of this breed, you might be better to pass. 😆

I'm a huge believer that mastering the loose leash walk is the foundation of all training.

A dog walking on a loose leash at your side oblivious to all distractions is a dog that has learned to "follow".
That should be the pattern for all things in his/her life. Owner leads dog follows.

I have a two year old neutered Siberian Husky for sale.

There is no CKC registration for him.

He is an unusual Siberian in that he does not need to tied up in the yard. His leash manners are very good. His recall is not too bad for the most part. He is a smaller boy that would love to be paired up with an active couple or individual.
He is quite affectionate and tends to bond quickly.
