Heartworm prevention season is officially here (June – November)! 📢

Swipe through to see exactly how to keep your pup safe this season. Here is the quick breakdown:

🩺 Test First: Before starting medication, your pet needs a 4Dx blood test. Testing is a vital safety step—giving preventative medication to a heartworm-positive dog can cause a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction.

💊 Stay Protected: Once cleared, start your vet-approved heartworm product, and remember to keep up with flea and tick protection too!

📍 Risk: We aren’t an epidemic zone, but we have had local dogs test positive in Cobourg and Northumberland County. Prevention is everything!

As soon as Kloe entered the building, our staff scooped her up and gave her endless snuggles. Her owner was very brave bringing her into the clinic because she almost didn’t get Kloe back! Our team couldn’t handle this adorable girl. Welcome Kloe!

Teddy is an ADORABLE 11-week-old Shiba Inu puppy. He was a very brave boy getting his 1st round of vaccinations. Dr. Daniele Size made sure to give him lots of love & snuggles to make him feel better. We are so happy to have Teddy as one of our new patients!🐕🐾🩷
