When I first started hosting guests at Cobblestone Farm Retreat, I enjoyed the connection to guests that Airbnb provided. Unfortunately though, over the years the user rates increased both for hosts as well as for guests. I often thought, “What are all these fees for?” but I stayed and continued to host because I enjoyed having families spend their holiday time at the farm.

In a few weeks, Airbnb will be changing some of their policies and given the number of repeat guests I have, I am also choosing to leave Airbnb.

It’s been a busy yet SPECTACULAR few days…golfing Holywood (the course Rory grew up playing), Belfast with many great sights (including the Titanic museum), visiting my friend E family’s chip shop, driving more of the breathtaking coast and landing in one of the most beautiful towns Carlingford Lough. Back to Dublin today to visit Guinness Storehouse before heading home tomorrow ❤️

On this, the 3rd anniversary of my breast cancer diagnosis, I’d like to thank my friends, family and most of all my husband David Thompson for all of the love and support you’ve given me. I wouldn’t be here without you. Also, a special thank you to the many team members at Northumberland Hills Hospital and Unity Health Toronto who continue to make my health a top priority. We celebrated by touring the beautiful sites in and around Portrush, Northern Ireland - Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle and Bushmills Distillery. What an epic day ❤️

After getting stuck in massive traffic because the orange man was in town and the Irish were protesting (good on ‘ya) we arrived in beautiful Dublin yesterday. What a vibrant and energetic city. We walked for hours and hit a few iconic pubs. Looking forward to exploring more today before we head to the north coast tomorrow.
